Bossy I'm desperate to take mine down too but OH won't hear of it until the beginning of january!
Atypicalblonde, I have only just got dressed, happily stayed in my pyjamas all day yesterday. My HHC turned into hours of laundry sorting, have managed to hang up most things, but have 2 blue tosco bags full of ironing now. Have managed to wash and hang up the sicky sheets, yuk! My new Apple Watch seems good though, it makes me stand up if I've been sitting too long, so I get up and do jobs, which can only be a good thing. Have started my tosco order for NYE and am trying to sort out my finances, spent waaaay too much over Christmas! So trying to reign it in, have £150 for food for 4 of us to last until the 23rd!!!! So store cupboard, menu planning and batch cooking is in order!
OH is going out in a bit with his friends for the first time in a year. Major hangover tomorrow I think. I'm going to try getting some things sorted whilst he's gone.
Oh spent my Christmas vouchers on audio CDs and a notebook, as I can clean for hours if I'm listening to something interesting. And the notebook is for organising me, so feeling positive for a more organised and tidy new year. Would like to join the ironing challenge if I can please.0 -
Hiya everyone and welcome to the new peoples and returners :hello:
Sending gws vibes to any poorlies - hope you better before the new yearI don't take my cards down until the 12th day.
All rooms reasonably tidy and kitchen clean bar the floor. Think I'll do the fridge out the morrow and then do the floor
Have s&sd the bathroom. I don't have any ironing - in the only iron if absolutely necessary camp - so not joining that challenge.
Have tidied all the hotspots into one pile - might start later or if not then the morrow.
Have sorted out DH email account - he lost the password etc. Now up-dated and have managed to get into new tablet. Need to get the security set-up on it so that's the next job. Wish I was more techie - sighs
Monday - a bit of everything!
Sweep or vac too
Sort through the fridge - any leftovers that need to be binned?

Good evening, I have had a bit of a lazy day but I have still managed to get some jobs done.
All animals have been fed and stretched their legs and now all in their beds.
All new presents have been sorted and put away in the appropriate place.
Kitchen is now clean and all dishes are washed and put away. 2 loads of laundry have also been done, but there is still another 2 to get done.
I have had a look at some sales however all that I have bought in the sales is stationery that I need for uni. I will need to have another look tomorrow as needing to get some trousers for dd.
I have made a start on organising new diary
Please can anyone give me the link to the ironing challenge, or have I missed something on here.
Monday - a bit of everything!
Dust and deweb all through downstairs
Sweep or vac too
S&S the downstairs loo / cloak.
Sort your laundry - get cracking if you want empty baskets by Thursday!
Start the ironing, if you're joining the challenge! Sort it into 4 piles and do the first one!0 -
Hi all
Oh Dizzy, so sorry, you have been so positive about your situation so far and the last thing you needed was a bereavement on top of everything else. Strange how it all happens at once. Hope you are feeling as well as you can be.
Hi Wendy nice to see you back.
Well I feel bleugh. Hoping this is the result of too much food/alcohol, being out of my normal sleep routine and not doing any exercise rather than any sinister lurgy that might be creeping up on me.
We have got family coming on Wednesday so might leave the decs up until after then. I have tidied away most of the presents though.
Oh and I have changed DS2s bed which seems to have slipped through the normal washing routine. Will put the sheets over the airer in a minute.0 -
Monday - a bit of everything!
Level 1
Rehoming - find a convenient spot and gather up all the new and existing items that need a home. Spend 10 min sorting into piles according to which room they will go to. Maybe pop them in old carrier bags and enlist some help to "deliver" them to the right homes!
Level 2
[STRIKE]Dust and deweb all through downstairs
Sweep or vac too
Tidy your tree or xmas decs - are all the chocs eaten? Can you dust around / under?[/STRIKE]
Level 3
[STRIKE]Sort through the fridge - any leftovers that need to be binned? What do you need between now and new year?
Wipe down all the kitchen counters and the sink
S&S the downstairs loo / cloak[/STRIKE].
[STRIKE]Extras•Sort your laundry - get cracking if you want empty baskets by Thursday!
•Start the ironing, if you're joining the challenge! Sort it into 4 piles and do the first one!
•Treat yourself to something light and healthy for lunch - do you have time for HM soup[/STRIKE]?
Not bad for my first day! Most presents are still under the tree so easily accessible for the kids to reach. Its also nice for visiting relatives to see what the kids got. It's my daughters birthday at the weekend so all decorations/cards will be coming down before then and that's when we will start putting new things away.
No phone, no wifi, no credit card machines in our area (nr York) so haven't been too far from home today. Cabin fever has set in though so may visit the in-laws tomorrow.0 -
Hi all
Well, I have had a productive day back on the Flylady wagon! More off list though as there is much more than simple maintenance required in this house unfortunately. Today I have managed to:
Deep clean the master bedroom and dressing room
Declutter the draws and wardrobes in the master bedroom
3 x WM
1 x TD
2 x DW
1 hour ironing and put away
1 dog walk
1 trip to the park to keep kids amused
1 x DS room surface tidy
Clear away after tea
Not bad by my standards. Hope this continues tomorrow. I'm back at work but just for half a day. DH and 2 DS's will be at home but will hopefully continue the good work!
Hope your days were productive too!

All now in homes (if the laundry basket counts for the new clothes). Packaging in recycling. Old items that they are replacing ready for tip/CS/returning to people I've borrowed them from...
Level 2
Dust and deweb all through downstairs
Sweep or vac too Have done kitchen, as I've been rearranging it. And the utility as it was easy to do at the same time. The rest can wait until I've finished pulling up carpet to put some of the newly acquired underlay underneath it - project for this weeek.
[STRIKE]Tidy your tree or xmas decs - are all the chocs eaten? Can you dust around / under?[/STRIKE] Needs watering...
Level 3
[STRIKE]Sort through the fridge - any leftovers that need to be binned? What do you need between now and new year?[/STRIKE] Bought fruit and veg, have frozen the bargain satsumas/grapes for juicing. I need a fridge with more salad/veg drawers...
[STRIKE]Wipe down all the kitchen counters and the sink [/STRIKE]Don't have any kitchen countersbut I have wiped the tables and the worktop in the utility room... and cleaned the sink while washing the stuff I keep digging out of crates from under the kitchen table.
S&S the downstairs loo / cloak.
Extras
Sort your laundry - get cracking if you want empty baskets by Thursday! Need to strip and remake the spare room beds and wash the bedding that's currently on them.
[STRIKE]Start the ironing, if you're joining the challenge! Sort it into 4 piles and do the first one![/STRIKE] Ironing is outsourced, but I do need to work out when I'm going to drop it off
[STRIKE]Treat yourself to something light and healthy for lunch - do you have time for HM soup?[/STRIKE]Leftover soup from xmas eve. I need to meal plan for the week - including getting the juicer going again.
I have been rearranging the kitchen, trying to work out a permanent floor plan so that I can get a cooker installed sooner rather than later.0 -
