I'm in. Thanks bossy, and thanks Natty for last week. I hope you are feeling better and were able to delegate (but I won't hold my breath to hear that!).
Definitely need to go through the fridge and freeze etc. The turkey which was picked clean, was put in the slow cooker and has yielded another 500g meat and 5 pints of stock so HM soup is definitely on the menu. I still have 4 portions of Xmas soup though - 1 for tomorrow and 3 for the freezer.
I'm off to bed. Busy week to come.
Glad everyone seems to have stayed safe from the water.Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
Thanks Bossy and Natty. I'm in again this week. Will write my list in the morning.
DH and I have had another quiet day - he put himself back to bed when I went to church this morning and hasn't stepped outside the door all day, but he does seem a bit better again. Tomorrow I might let him out for an hour or so at war games while I pop into town, but he's definitely not going there for the full day, as some of the fanatics are intending (because they didn't get a game on Friday evening)
Glad the wallet turned up, pigpen :T
Good night all x0 -
Hiya everyone and welcome to the new peoples and returners :hello:
I'm in for the week and thank you to Bossy and Natty for the threads.
Monday - a bit of everything!
Rehoming - find a convenient spot and gather up all the new and existing items that need a home. Spend 10 min sorting into piles according to which room they will go to. Maybe pop them in old carrier bags and enlist some help to "deliver" them to the right homes!

I'm in but just observing. Had a rough time recently TBH and just about had enough. Need contact with the outside world, but not up to flying...glad my Secret Santa lady liked her pressie x
My very elderly grandma died this afternoon after being poorly for a few days. She was 104 and only a few weeks short of being 105, but circumstances decided otherwise, but definitely not a bad innings. My poor dad is in pieces and I'm 300 miles away after travelling back from Sussex in the early hours.
Can honestly say I've had better Decembers. I've run out of money, my dogs killed a pet chicken just before Christmas, house flooded and I'm living in a cramped caravan with seating so hard it has given me sciatica, we are on flood alert again, the downstairs of my house looks like a derelict ruin, blow heaters and dehumidifiers on all day and night (ignoring the repeated requests for a meter reading) it's my DH's birthday on NYE and I can't afford a present, the insurance company can't process emergency payments due to the Bank Holiday, Big Dog chewed the gear stick in the car so badly DH is refusing to drive it after being left unmuzzled for an hour, Girl Pup stole and ate 18 eggs off the worksurface in the caravan while I was drying my hair, a mouse has been at DSS's Christmas chocolate and has also chewed carpet and bed linen trying to make a nest, still have no WM or tumble drier....Currently drinking wine in the bath.
No lectures please x0 -
I'm in
TYVM for the thread as always (last week and this)
DS is 'cold' DD and I were both really hot - the (insert expletive-type adjective of your choice) HAS PUT THE HEATING ON. I have said nothing. I have switched it back off and draped damp socks over a radiator.
He also didn't eat his evening meal - then ordered pizza - words fail me. he rolled into the LR with an extra pizza - did I want it? Well not really - so it has gone in the fridge for tomorrow;)
Dizzy (((hugs))). If I were nearer I would come and collect laundry and return it washed, dried and ironed...
Pleased to report my backache has almost cleared up. I have worked out that it MUST be the ankle boots causing it so they are to be jettisoned and I have resurrected a brown pair.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -
Aww Dizzy - condolences re your Gran and my thoughts with all your family, especially hard on top of all your other woes.
Sending lots of big squishy hugs for you and yours

dizzy lots of hugs, sorry to hear of you loss as if you needed any more things to go wrong. We will all do anything we can to help; can't offer you much as I'm a long way from you in Herts but just ask if you want anything.
Welcome back Wendy
Mr N and I had quite a nice quiet day today; tidied, swept and hoovered (will be finding that pesky glitter for ages). I made another batch of gingerbread biscuits as we had friends round for tea this afternoon.
Did a load of washing though too damp outside to hang it out.
One load through DW.
Tomorrow I plan to go to the gym for a class. Have a friend dropping in some time in the afternoon, on her way home from Lincoln to London. Not much else planned other than trying to keep up with all I've recorded/serials I've started (scantily clad Aidan Turner in the Agatha Christie film anyone - yum is all I can say.......).
I won't make any promises regarding ironing as thankfully that is Mr N's domain.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0
