    S&S the downstairs loo

  • Hi,

All shiny and new here! Hoping that I'll start to stay on top of the housework by using pointers here rather than spending the day I start nightshifts running around like a headless chicken and not sleeping!

So here goes....!!:j And nice to meet you all!!

Monday - a bit of everything!
    Level 1
[STRIKE]Rehoming - find a convenient spot and gather up all the new and existing items that need a home. Spend 10 min sorting into piles according to which room they will go to. Maybe pop them in old carrier bags and enlist some help to "deliver" them to the right homes![/STRIKE]
    Level 2
[STRIKE]Dust and deweb all through downstairs[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Sweep or vac too[/STRIKE]
Tidy your tree or xmas decs - are all the chocs eaten? Can you dust around / under?
    Level 3
Sort through the fridge - any leftovers that need to be binned? What do you need between now and new year?
[STRIKE]Wipe down all the kitchen counters and the sink[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE][STRIKE]S&S the downstairs loo / cloak.[/STRIKE][/STRIKE]
    Extras
[STRIKE]Sort your laundry - get cracking if you want empty baskets by Thursday![/STRIKE]
Start the ironing, if you're joining the challenge! Sort it into 4 piles and do the first one!
[STRIKE]Treat yourself to something light and healthy for lunch - do you have time for HM soup?[/STRIKE]

Hi to all the newbies and returners to this lovely thread :hello:

I'm back from MILs and pleased to say I survived without having to resort to Diazepam! It was nice to come in and see the house was pretty much up together rather than the normal bombsite we come into after being away.

Dizzy sending you a hug, my condolences and coping vibes; you've been through so much. Here's to 2016 being a much better year.

Yorkshirelass hoping that your bleugh feeling doesn't develop into anything.

Ooo welcome / welcome back to new and returning flyladies. Little and often is the key - your home didn't get messy in a day, nor will it be sorted in a day. It's a journey, not a destination;)

I'm doing the bedtime battle with DS again. How to get a 6yr old to sleep??? He looks exhausted:(

I'm behind already on my own list :o but tomorrow is a day at home! And I'm going to hide the sweeties!

    Evening all.

Didn't get as much done as I planned as just as my last wash load was finishing in the drier a friend text and asked if they could come round. Since I was still in my pjs that was my kick to get my bed made, showered and take the dog for a walk to wear him out a bit before my friend turned up. :o Nothing on the list except take the bins out was urgent so not to worry as they can be rolled over easily enough :D

    Personal:
    Set up diary
    Set up filofax
Grocery inventory & flinging session - Freezer done.
    Meal plan
Set up grocery lists in filofax
Find some knitting patterns to use up wool stash
    Scrub yard

Monday - a bit of everything!
    Level 2
Dust and deweb all through downstairs
    Level 3
Sort through the fridge. What do you need between now and new year?
    Extras
    • Start the ironing, if you're joining the challenge! Sort it into 4 piles and do the first one! No ironing atm
Tuesday - kitchen and dining room
    Level 1

    Wipe down your large appliances
Run the WM / DW on a hot wash and clean the filters
    Level 2
Any other surfaces to clear / wipe?
    Wash a window
    Level 3
Back to the kitchen - pick a cupboard- empty it and wipe the shelves. Only put back what you need. Can anything be ditched?
    Extras
    • HHI
    • Spend some time with your new diary and a cuppa!
I'm going to feed the dog, let him out and then I'm off to bed as I need to be up tomorrow.
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

To get to Disneyland Florida 2016
  • Hi ladies,

Well the house looks a darn sight better than it did this morning. With a 2 year old and a 3 year old my days consist of entirely picking up after other people, but today we have made some real progress and I can see a difference - I think it's down to the toy cull we did.

DW is on, sides are cleaned and I've vacced round downstairs so it's really rather presentable. Small business work has been done and enveloped up ready for franking first thing in the morning.

Bossy - I hope you got DS to sleep. Bedtime battles are so draining sometimes - we have hidden the chocs here as DS has been bouncing off the walls.

Hugs to you all and thank you for being so welcoming xx

Hi and welcome! The challenge is just to start the new year with an empty ironing basket :D I only tend to iron stuff that really needs it so don't have an ironing basket ;) but some flyladies are more particular / less lazy than me... :o

LOL, I found a decoration I'd overlooked when putting them up; assembled it and now it's up..........

I did very little from 5 onwards, dropped OH off then fed littlies and put them to bed. Then sat and watched catch up tv and drank wine, sigh, my house is a mess! I need to do more!

Menu planning and £50 shop for ten days has been done online though.

Atypicalblonde, I absolutely hear you, I have a 2 and a just turned 4 year old, I have no idea what I'm going to do with all the new toys, one of which is a huge wooden shop thing!!!!

Thanks for the welcome lovelies, I will try harder tomorrow, I promise.
