Morning all
Hope all are as well as can be
Watching one of dhs Christmas DVDs this morning, dad boot but of a long one about a German submarine crew so I have my crocheting on standby. Printed out a label for the 2016 saving challenge that was mentioned in Nother thread, basically me the mins game you save 1p on 1st Jan, 2p on 2nd through to £3.66 on Dec 31st so by then you'll have saved about £668 but the most you save in a day is the final £3.66. Or you could do it in reverse so you start with the in amounts and work down.
Will get back into flying proper next week I've been off list over he hols.SPC~12 ot 124

I have cleaned the bath. And looked at the rain.
I do need to get a lot done this weekend as I have a houseful next weekend (4 kids and 5 adults staying - I think, need to check) and another 5 kids and 8 adults visiting at various stages of the day.
Luckily my mum has already made a stew for me, which is in the freezer, and rang today to say she is making biscuits, cake and possibly a pudding as well. Now she has a decent oven she's really enjoying cooking. Whereas I have her old oven and that combined with a lack of work surface means I try to avoid cooking whenever possible.0 -
House de-Christmassed; decs etc boxed/bagged and waiting to go up into the attic. Lounge vacuumed; furniture repositioned. Foul pots brought out of DS's room and soaking. Old Cat fed salmon and cat milk. Old Cat hanging around for more salmon; she will have to wait (for this to settle) as I don't want a repeat of yesterday's regurgitation.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Thank you Honey Bear0 -
Laundry being done here. DD finally wants lunch but only beans. Not to be outdone for too long by her brother, she has got herself a wobbly tooth
Think I've won the battle with FIL laptop. Finally updated it to win10 but by golly it was hard work!
I think I've sorted our new routine - I'm going to have to ditch my early starts on Tuesday's - granny won't be staying over any more as there's no swimming on Mondays anymore, and really I can't start at 6.30am on a day I'm in college until 9pm. But I've juggles hours about and if after school club can accomodate us on Mondays, and for breakfast on Tuesday's, we'll be sorted.
It's only until Easter, by which time I may not be working for much longer anyway!
Feel better now that I have a plan, and the inlaws are being very supportive and flexible :A
Weather is really grim here - hasn't stopped raining all day.
Right, I'll go hang some more washing up and then finish my hot vimtoBossymoo

Mrs MP mentioned it a few posts ago but there was also talk about it on the FB page. I'm doing it but not in order - when I find I've got some loose change, I'll count it and cross out that amount IYSWIM. That way, I can hopefully spread the larger amounts across the year.
WM on and ratties cleaned out.
Mrs MP - Das Boot is a fantastic but harrowing film; made me realise what it must have been like for my Grandfather and his crew mates"There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers

Hi all
Still feeling a bit fragile. Not sure if I am just tired after a busy Christmas and New Year or whether I am coming down with something.
DH and I have been emptying the loft. Back in the days before I converted my family to the Kon Marie way of doing things we dumped a lot of stuff in the loft. The loft is occupied by bats for part of the year and they make an awful mess. Their droppings arent smelly or harmful but they are pretty unpleasant and seem to get everywhere.
So we have cleared a lot of the contents of the loft into the skip we still have from doing the bathroom. We need to go up there and sweep up then cover the things that are left with some plastic sheeting but this will be another days job.
I needed a good hot shower once the job was done!
I have also done 2 loads of washing, taken all Christmas decs down and put away and hoovered right through.
Nicki you have reminded me that I need to put some money on DSs dinner money account.0 -
I'm still battling away with report writing, so Mr N has been a good flyman today. He's tidied and vacuumed the bedroom - even pulling out the bed from the wall, to reveal webs and dust like you couldn't imagine
I'm afraid I can't claim to have done anything in the way of housework today. I have arranged to take a disabled friend to her GP on Monday, and had a long conversation with my mum who is in holiday planning mode.....Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0
