Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Photogenic I've been Money Tipped!
Mrs MP mentioned it a few posts ago but there was also talk about it on the FB page. I'm doing it but not in order - when I find I've got some loose change, I'll count it and cross out that amount IYSWIM. That way, I can hopefully spread the larger amounts across the year.

Thats what I'm doing as well, except my last day is 16th Nov so I have the money saved for Christmas shopping ;)
Nicki you have reminded me that I need to put some money on DSs dinner money account.

And you've just reminded me that I need to get 5 £1 coins & a money bag together for DD's emergency money. :rotfl:
Have also been ditching stuff for the 2016 clutter challenge, 10 items banked so far in 2016:)

Got busy after my Iceland delivery arrived, with my vacuum packer. Ordered amongst other things, the cheese and bacon for the month, which has been split into smaller portions, vacuum sealed and put in the freezer

I might have to have a go at that clutter challenge. I also love the idea of vacuum sealing portions for the freezer...it might stop my DD eating the cheese by the block!

MrsMP - thanks for the link to that blog via Fiesty I've added it to my reading pile :D

Today I walked to town, renewed DD's bus pass (budgeted £85, and it was £81.90) and discovered that she can just keep renewing it until she turns 19 even if she doesn't stay in education :D:D:D That is a major relief as the price of bus fare in Liverpool is ridiculous! I went to the bank but after waiting in the queue for 15 minutes and not moving at all I decided to leave and go back through the week when its quieter. Looked in pap3rchase & card fact0ry at their sales, didn't buy anything then decided I'd had enough of town so walked home :rotfl: I got home, went straight out more or less to Mr A and somehow spent a weeks housekeeping on stuff. Tomorrow I'll have to sit and go through the receipt to work out what was "me" and what was "grocery" so I can start my budget off right. I've spent the rest of the day wandering around the 'net so not a lot achieved here at all.

Tomorrow when DD gets home I have a mountain of laundry to do, some necessary online clothes shopping for her, and I don't know what else. I think it's going to be a play it by ear job. However right now it's bed time before I get a second wind and end up staying up all hours. DD will be back about 9am so I need to be up!
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

    Rampant Recycler Debt-free and Proud!
    Evening folks

LW - big squishy hugs and calming vibes for Monday

Bossy - talking about a new kitchen. I had one put in a couple of years ago and I made a plan. I drew the kitchen outline to scale on squared paper, marking windows and doors. Then made little templates, again to scale, for everything such as cooker, fridge, sink etc. even cupboards. Then just kept moving the things about until it seemed the best solution. HTH

Been busy here and done quite a lot of catch-up things that keep getting left like cleaning out the deep fryer.

Our bed has been stripped, turned and made with fresh linen. The bedding and all the rest of the laundry done, dried and put away and kitchen all tidy and clean, just need to wash the floor the morrow. I have also made quite a lot of meals for the freezer over the last two days.

We need to go shopping the morrow and I am going to get extra veggies so can make some soups through the week. Then we are out for a M. Shop meal, so I won't have to cook or wash-up :j

Cards et al come down Monday and then can give LR a good clean through, including the furniture.

Had another lazy day today- not like me at all. We finished the Christmas puzzle and I did the weekly food shop, and two loads of washing, apart from that not a lot else. I'm normally quite proactive so it is making me feel quite grouchy that the house is still a mess. Hubby cooked dinner as well. Bless him!

This is my carry over list but in reality there is a lot more to do! Won't get much done tomorrow as we are out and also need to get ds2s birthday pressies etc sorted. And got to do a bit of the paid stuff!

Rehoming - find a convenient spot and gather up all the new and existing items that need a home. Spend 10 min sorting into piles according to which room they will go to. Maybe pop them in old carrier bags and enlist some help to "deliver" them to the right homes!

mrsmp das boot is my dad's favourite film.
Love the idea of a saving challenge, I am going to do it!

I have only flown a little today, daily stuff plus a bit of ironing. This is because we went to get our new (to us) car today, and then spent some time driving round posing in it and pressing all the buttons. It is the newest and nicest car we have ever owned, after long years of workhorses and "classics". It is fab, and I feel like something is going to go wrong.

    Morning all.

I had a lovely day out with DD and her partner yesterday. Today will be spent doing the following:

    Gym
    Breakfast
    WUDUPA
    Bath
    Walk dogs
    Take down decorations
    Hoover/sweep/mop through house
    Walk dogs again
    Listy things.

Another one here who is a fan of Das Boot. And I have workmen coming tomorrow too, to finally fix the fence which will make letting the dogs out much easier.

Posi-vibes please for DH who is having a rough time of it at the paid stuff at the moment.

    Have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.
