This is why I get so distracted when I'm writing reports. The black bit at the bottom of the photo is my computer screen and the feeders are about 3 feet away. And my windows need cleaning...........

I'd be distracted by the blue skies as much as the wildlife :)

Sadly my office window looks out on the drive, so I only get distracted by delivery men, cold callers and neighbours who are looking for excuses not to work...

Kids returned to parents. Supermarket shopping done (must avoid going again, I spend stupid amounts of money). I intend to do precisely NOTHING for the rest of the day.

On the plus side, the house is relatively under control at the moment - so much so that when a neighbour called yesterday to say she was going to walk down to mine for a coffee (I usually go there as part of my [STRIKE]displacement activity [/STRIKE]exercise regime), all I had to do was close the windows (airing the house), stick the heating on, close the door on the utility (noisy WM) and hoover up the bits of mess left by the underlay I finally got round to dealing with yesterday morning.

I now only have one piece of scrounged underlay left, which I will put down when I take the xmas tree out. Hopefully it will make a difference if we do ever get winter (amazingly we had a frost briefly this morning).

Narc0lepsy - I can see why you get distracted:)

    The list:

    [STRIKE]Declutter junk drawer[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Banking[/STRIKE]

    Relax
    [STRIKE]Defrost freezer[/STRIKE]

After taking all day, the freezer is finally defrosted, cleaned and plugged back in, ready for me to refill:)

Its been a funny New Years Day. OH isn't here as he has been ill, so just me and 3 of the kids. Had a lovely txt from DS1 last night, which made my evening:D

Have managed the first NSD of 2016:T and my grocery budget is still intact:)

Planning on (maybe) taking the kids into town in the morning. I will need to pick up milk and a few bits, plus they want to spend their xmas vouchers and clothes allowance.

Might leave the paperwork and ironing until Sunday now:D

Hi everyone, back with a question - first of many no doubt! :D

The list (Monday/Tues/Wed etc..) that is on the very first post for this thread - is that list the same week in, week out or does it change? Is this list a sort of "master" list ... type thing ... ish :D :rotfl:

New threads are started on Sunday evenings (yes? Did I get that right? lol) for the week ahead. Apologies if I seem a bit thick, I'm not, honest! ;)

J and I had a talk and we're going to keep Relate on the back burner but we actually are communicating properly and seem to be working together which is progress. I've been very honest with him and told him I thought if things stayed as they were then that'd be it for us but he seems to be coming up trumps right now ... long may it continue.
Wolfy (((HUGS))) - I'll be rooting for you.
MMM, what is it with Ex's being a PITA.
Yeah, but it's because they're a PITA that they became Ex's in the first place......

Mummyroys (((HUGS))) That really does drive it home, to look to what's really important in life.

Franchisee brought me Jack Spaniel yesterday for a two-night stay. He's also managed to ascertain that Jack Russell is ok, which is a great relief.

We did our usual last night - played computer games til nearly midnight, and just put the tv on for Big Ben.

My current guest Jack (yes, I've had two Jacks in succession) is an English Springer Spaniel, and he's absolutely adorable. He's going tomorrow, but Ted will be arriving - we have to do a complicated swap, as Ted can't abide other dogs. So Ted will come in the back gate and be entertained in the back garden by Mr LW, while Jack exits via the front door.

In fact, as Ted can't stand other dogs, perhaps I'll ask him to see off any lurking BDs while he's at it..... :o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Takeaway for tea tonight once the tiddlers are in bed, with a glass of something fizzy I think. Naff all housework done, I promise I'll try harder tomorrow. I have, however, made a mortgage OP and done two letters :)

The new thread usually starts on a Sunday evening. The lists will start with the Monday

The lists change - what is on a Monday one week probably won't be on the the next Monday's list, but everything comes around again, so don't worry too much.

Start small and build up gradually would be my advice.

.... And welcome to our little community...

    Hi all

Have felt a bit queasy today. I didnt drink much last night either. Have gently pottered a bit but my plan was to have a rest day today and crack on with taking down the rest of the decs tomorrow and cleaning where necessary.

LW my little dog is a bit nervous around strange dogs as well but he is completely useless at dispatching the BD. Enjoy Ted!

And Narco what a lovely view. My desk at home faces the wall.

Right, DW to empty, DS2s birthday present to wrap.

    Oh and welcome Petula!
