Happy new year all! lets hope it's a good one. We have no plans today. Hubby and ds1 have gone to watch the local parkrun as our friend will be doing his 100th! They will be back in an hour.
I was feeling a little ropey yesterday. Not ill , just not right- a bit fuzzy is all I can describe it as and a bit of an upset tummy this morning so will see how it goes.
All decs came down yesterday. It took ages! Now we need a mass tidy up! Piles of stuff to rehome in every room! Will try and do some jobs and have some family time as well
List...
Rehoming - find a convenient spot and gather up all the new and existing items that need a home. Spend 10 min sorting into piles according to which room they will go to. Maybe pop them in old carrier bags and enlist some help to "deliver" them to the right homes!
Sweep or vac downstairs
Vac stairs
Vac middle floor
Vac top floor
Wipe down all the kitchen counters
empty the DW?
DR - wipe over the table - are you finished with christmas linen?
HHI
Spend some time with your new diary and a cuppa
Do a bit of light pottering, making notes of any little diy jobs for your Toots list
Head out for a walk if the weather is suitable, or even just a wander round the garden - any gaps to fill this year?
Have a bit of time doing what you enjoy - be that knitting, stitching, surfing the net etc
Watch a film or something you've recorded
Encourage someone to make you[/] a cuppa!Grocery challenge- feb 2015- £133.07/£2500 -
Happy New Year all. I hope everyone had a lovely night - awake or asleep. I saw in the New Year although with a head cold I'd rather have been in bed.
DH has hangover. I woke up feeling like I had one - very unfair! Hound let us sleep til 0800. Parents gone (DH appeared for 2 mins and has gone back to bed) Oz now indicating he wants a walk.
Will try hard not to go back to bed on return - Flying list is too long to paste. I like ionafan's :coffee: between each item. I'll print my list out without them though or it will be pages long.
Have a great day everyone, whether you are relaxing, entertaining, or flying. I'll check in later.
((hugs)), sticks and spoons as necessary. Oz says Happy New Year too.Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
poohspals, I agree, I stopped getting fed up about what others do or don't do around the house, it saps your energy.
Btw, happy new year everyone!
So far I have cleared up the kitchen from last night, friends round for food and drink and I think every plate and bowl in the house had been used, there were only eight of us.
I have a slight headache.
I have also put the washing mashine on and broken one of the mirrors on the bathroom cabinet, so if you believe in bad luck I've got a bad year ahead!
Plan for rest of day :
Dog walk
Feed friends hamster
Paint walls in downstairs hall.
Have a lovely day x0 -

Happy New Year!!!
I spent Wednesday de-Christmasing the house. Only thing left is the window and the stragglers box. Then yesterday I did absolutely nothing except watch TV and see the new year in with the dog as he was stressed by the fireworks. But he was much better than on bonfire night
Today I've washed up then S&Sd the kitchen. I'm going to have a shower then probably S&S the bathroom. My wrist (well its more my thumb joint in my hand now) is still hurting so I'm being careful with what I do. I was going to take the dog for a very long walk in the bigger park, but its colder than I thought and he doesn't appear to have his winter coat so it might end up just being a quick walk instead round the streets.
DD will be home early Sunday morning so I'm going to get her to come with me to Mr A then for her packed lunch stuff. I'm trying to avoid going to the shops unless I need toRight, my phone is charged so I'm off to get sorted for my shower. Hopefully it'll wake me up enough that I'll be inclined to do some work on my diary
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
I've tidied up downstairs and done some dinner prep...hubby doing most of it as his parents are coming. Not putting washer on today unless I have too and Defo not till after guests gone as its so noisy.Have a Bsc Hons open degree from the Open University 2015 :j:D:eek::T0

Well I've cleaned out the chickens, vans seem to have picked up a million toys from the floor, only for there to be a million more!! I've sorted the littlies books out and flung some, I made a smoothie with Roo and May, which was fun but messy! Loaded DW and unpicked stickers from the carpet, grrrr. Fm have been through some cookbooks and bookmarked the pages with recipes I intend to do, going to try one new recipe a week, budget allowing. Just looking at the ironing, ironing challenge was an epic fail, but I started the year with an empty laundry basket, which is something!0

I washed three of Kelpie's huge fleeces and got them blown about overnight so they're now dry. Just as well, it's raining here again. So, if you've washed away any luck we'll have to hold hands as we run after it to catch it and get it back into our lives.
Oops can I join the luck chase? Washing done before I turned on computer!
Have started pruning - hacking- the enormous clematis that is holding the old pergola up. Mr N now having a bonfire.
An even naffer NY eve than we thought; aimed to catch up on recorded programmes but the first one turned out to be one we've seen before; the next 2 were useless so eventually we found something good.
Happy New Year everyone.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
