Washing already done at Yorkie Towers. Oh well. Hope the luck hasn't been washed away.

Happy New Year to all Flyladies!cyclingyorkie wrote: »Washing already done at Yorkie Towers. Oh well. Hope the luck hasn't been washed away.
I washed three of Kelpie's huge fleeces and got them blown about overnight so they're now dry. Just as well, it's raining here again. So, if you've washed away any luck we'll have to hold hands as we run after it to catch it and get it back into our lives.
Oven racks sparkly. Now to tackle the rest of the shower.Better is good enough.0 -
Mummyroys, I was very sorry to read your news. Thinking of you and your family at this difficult time.toochoosey wrote: »I see that there is no washing to be done................I need to wash DD's bedding..................Is it really bad luck???
Only if you believe it. IMHO if bedding needs to be washed, I wouldn't hesitate to wash it.
My list for today:
[STRIKE]- Make and eat breakfast
- Take DH to play on the railway[/STRIKE] - I have told him that I expect him to ring me at the end of every journey, and if he feels ill he *must* tell someone immediately
[STRIKE]- :coffee:
- Fold and put away clean washing[/STRIKE]
- :coffee:
- Fit replacement castors to my small filing cabinet
- :coffee: and possibly a nap (I didn't get a lot of sleep last night)
- lunch
- :coffee:
- sort family history papers
- :coffee:- prepare moussaka for tea
- collect DH from the railway
- eat tea
- :coffee:
- sort more family history stuff if I've still got any energy
Tomorrow morning we are looking after DGD1+2, and on Monday I am going to sit on a train for 2 hours to visit a friend and help her start moving tons of books from one house to another, then make the 2.5-hour journey home again (longer because of the connections) - but at least it's good reading time. We have also fixed a weekend away in the same place in February, combining daytime book shifting with an evening concert, and agreed on some other dates when we might invite local friends here for a meal. Some random items have been deleted from my diary (or at least from my head, if not yet actually erased from the paper).
In my garden today I have a rose, clematis, several hellebores, campanula, cyclamen, purple and yellow primroses, wallflowers and pansies in bloom, as well as lots of berries on various shrubs and catkins on the hazel
Hope everyone can keep warm and dry today. (((Hugs))) to anyone in need, and all power to those who have made New Year's resolutions x0 -
Last night, immediately after tea, with the onset of a head cold I went to bed and dozed on and off until midnight so I could watch London's fireworks with DH and DDs. I should have known this was a mistake - I've come downstairs this morning and the lounge is a mess, the kitchen is a mess and the dishwasher needed emptying before I could refill it. I stood looking at the mess, thinking that I would wait until DH gets up so he could empty the dishwasher and I would then fill it again - all the while feeling really annoyed. Then I thought to myself, he isn't bothered by this mess, the only one it bothers is me. I can have it sorted before he wakes up or I could sit and get even more angry whilst I wait for him to get up.
He is still asleep but the dishwasher is back on again and I'm already feeling a lot calmer - sometimes it really is better to do things yourself. So I've:
- Empty/Restack dishwasher
- Taken out recycling
- Cleared table in dining room
- Put all wet washing onto radiators (washed before midnight so my luck should still be intact)
- Fed pets
- Sorted load of washing for tomorrow (I need that luck)
Now I just want to go back to bed!
Welcome to 2016 :j:j:j0
