Clumsy it sounds like you had a grand day out.

Peppa we will of course need photos's of the giant tree!

Evening everyone, thankyou for all your comments i was awake at 3.30am worrying about it all, but today i feel better. DS took me for our afternoon tea in a lovely hotel in Winchester, it was one of my christmas presents from last year :rotfl:but as i was ill for so long we just didnt get to do it until now. I also finally found the christmas magazine i wanted so i spent a couple of hours reading that tonight with a nice coffee.
MRSINVISIBLE glad you enjoyed your afternoon tea in a hotel too, it feels so posh doesnt it?
3FORHOLIDAYS a bit like my christmas card list its so small now it will be just the kids before long
CHERRY haha i dont even send enough christmas cards to get the ink flowing let alone cramp in my hand :rotfl:
TREASUREQUEEN oh i hope you feel better as quick as possible, thanks for the tip about the chocolate biscuits i will look out for them
PEPPAPIG aww i dont know what i would do without all you lovelies, i am so glad you are going to go for it, it will bring you joy and that is what its all about
VULPIX i love your crafty makes they are really lovely, its horrible when family are nasty isnt it, it really brings you down

04624181- hope you rae feeling better today, there are so many bugs around at the moment.
Treasurequeen that lamp looks good, I might put that onmy chritmas list
Nic- I really like the asda Christmas clothing and they are a goo price . I got DHDS and Connor a Christmas T shirt for their advent calendars for the sale earlier in the year.
Peppa- go for the tree!! The bigger the better as far as am concerned with trees! We have a 7ft one cus the ceiling are just so high in our home that a smaller one is barely noticeable (thats my excuse and i am sticking to it!), You definitely deserve to treat yourself x
Clumsy- congrats on the graduation! My day passed so quickly - my lasting memories of it are trying to keep the mortar board on (I ordered one far too big and I spent the whole day trying to stop it spinning round on my head- Mom said even thought their seats were miles away from the stage she knew it was me on stage as I was the one holding my hands on my head as I walked! The other memory is that it was freezing cold despite being May. I have a photo somewhere of me and two friends in our dithering by a fountain, we were turning blue with cold! Go for your Masters ! I left it 4 years before I went back for mine and I found it a bit of a struggle as I had got out of the habit of learning and lacked the self discipline to really knuckle down and apply myself. Strike while the iron is hot is my advice!!
Free- as others have said your sister has shown herself up not you. Anyone reading the post would know that you have obviously remembered you DNs birthday cus you took the time to post birthday wishes. It makes your sister sound petty in my opinion, dont let her get you down, petty negativity is her problem not yours x
GTQ- blimey the garage was having a laugh with that offer! They are really rob dogs as free says! Its a win win for you and your DB though- hoe you have many years enjoyment out of your new little car x
Mrs I- oh very posh! Its lovely to have a happy reason to dress up and enoy an outing, if foods involved then all the better!
Cherry- I have yet to start my cards, I keep putting it off, must knuckle down to it.
Vulpix- those crafts look lovely! I really like the Santa cutlery holder.
Well DHs birthday was this weekend. Now that's done and dusted let the Christmas countdown begin!!! !!
lovin' this site!

Morning all, hugs to all who need them.itsa cold one out there so wrap up warm.
Dd3 was round yesterday full of ideas for elf on the shelf but no elf to do them - a quick through my knitting patterns revealed a 'tooth pixie pattern that can be adapted into an elf for her to take to work so I've sorted through my wool stash nd promised she will have one before Dec 1st.
Better get on I need to get the lads shifted to work and collegeSPC~12 ot 124

Morning,
My gardner came on Saturday so all the rubble etc is in the skip waiting for them to collect, They have done a really good job getting it as level as possible and reseeding it.
DD had a full blown fit on Saturday her 1st since June so thats knocked her confidence a bit.
I look like i have been in a cat fight the dog was so scared with all the fireworks he tried to climb on me and put his claws in my throat so i have lovely scratch marks.
For the first year i can take DD to see the Coca Cola truck so thats one thing off her to do list. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Well, after the snow panic yesterday, it's a lovely sunny day today (if a little cold).
Vulpix - This may be a silly question but ...... does the marmite candle smell of marmite?
Free - Glad you're feeling better. Afternoon tea sounds lovely.
Chrissy - Oh no, poor dog. It's awful how scared they get. It's not just one night these days either, goes on forever. I'm sorry about DD. Hope she feels better.0 -
Clumsy- Congrats on your graduation, I keep putting studying off, I've no idea what I want to study, I just want to do something so it's probably good that I put it off. Sounds like you had a lovely day.
Pepper- by the sounds of it you're already off to get the tree, but bigger does in fact = better with somethings and Christmas trees are definitely one of those things! So I'm also on the go for it team.
Free- Glad you're feeling better, like many have said you sister showed herself up! My aunts haven't even remembered my birthday since I was about 8 maybe younger, never mind getting me a card or wishing me a happy birthday on my facebook, I have no hard feelings about it at all. Your sister is just being petty for the sake of being petty. I'm sure your niece doesn't mind a late card, it's the thought that counts anyway.
GTQ- blimey, that deal sounds awful, I thought the £50 I was offered for my old banger last year was bad and that was on it's last legs, it sounds completely reasonable after that corker of an offer that you were given. (I got £150 for mine in the end when it sold online)
I've been mad buying decorations lately, decided I wanted to decorate the Bedroom this year, it always looks so Christmassy in the living room and dining room and no where else so that's my mission this year.
I don't know if I said but my refund came through from amazon which I am so happy about.
Drove myself crazy panicking about the free services that I got with my car and neither me or the company having evidence of it and being told I'd have to pay for it, after 3 very long phone calls trying to get it sorted I've only gone and found the invoice stating my free services on it at the bottom of the junk draw. oops, how did it get in there?0 -
Cherry I've stopped listening to the snow forecasts now, seems as soon as it hits November we're told it will snow "the worst it has in 20 years" every other day it but it never actually does snow, tired of getting my hopes up more than anything else.0

It seems every year the newspapers claim it will be Baltic and we will have snowmagedon but so far it's just not happening
I'll say sorry now to everyone who hates snow especially those who live in Scotland and get more than their share of the white stuff.:oSPC~12 ot 124

I've lived in Norway and I miss snow!!!!! Bring it on I say (and I live in the sticks of Bucks so no-one here clears the roads or know how to drive in it so we'll all starve to death...) - the more the better for a few months at least! I actually believe it's good for us and it's great for the kids to be allowed out to be creative and active
Of course it would be handy if anyone knew how to clear snow of train lines and roads, but I've learnt to live with those quirks now lolDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
My DFW Diary - blah- mildly funny stuff about my journey0
