GTQ - bit late on this but that's such bad news, hope the little boy is alright though.
Your stockings all look fab, wish I had an ounce of talent and creativity and could make something like that.
I saw a house with Christmas lights on driving home the other day! way to early in my opinion, but I did add some Christmas music to my iTunes ready to put on my ipod when it's socially acceptable to be listening to Christmas music.0 -
I've bought some giant Christmas window stickers for the front windows but I will resist the urge to put them up until first weekend in December. I did buy a new decoration from the book box in the staffroom this week it's a red sign with North Pole written on outlined in little light bulbs it's battery operated so I can put that in the kitchen window and have my net of fairy lights in the front bedroom window. The neighbour's have a brilliant light display it's one of those laser type things that projects onto the house, it looks great-Like colourful snowflakes dancing all over.SPC~12 ot 124

Does anyone have experience of magnifying lamps please?
Finally decided on Cath Kidston colouring books for my mum for Christmas and then yesterday she told me that she's having trouble seeing her jigsaw puzzles because her close up glasses aren't doing anything. She actually has cataracts although not bad enough to have surgery at the moment so now I'm thinking she won't be able to use the books. However, then I thought maybe for her birthday at the end of this month I could get her one of those magnifying craft lamps. Has anyone used one? I've no idea which style is best and don't really want to spend more than about twenty to thirty pounds although could go halves with my sister which would give us about sixty pounds if needed. Any help or advice appreciated. It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
TRIFLE,the food of the gods,I could live off it.Suitable for breakfast dinner and tea in my book !
I have found the chocolate coins in a bag in my friends boot.
I took her to my secret junk shop yesterday as she is new to the area and is looking for a 60's style dressing table. She didn't get one but I got a small plate rack/shelf.I have almost finished stripping it.It's oak.Just what I have been looking for to go in the porch.£3 bargain.
I also took her to Poundstretcher (she is so posh she has never been before) I got a marmite tin of biscuits for not much.Daughter loves marmite. Friend was laden with stuff. She loves slumming it with me.
Enjoy Bonfire night. Vx:0 -
Hi everyone, Just wanted to let you all know I now have the dds cold, cough etc. Im feeling ropey. Yesterday I managed to get quite a few bits for christmas. Picked up some elf bits in card factory, got a crystal growing kit and a make your own digital clock out of an orange set for stocking fillers. Also got beat the parent game and The Entertainers version of Speak out. It looks fab xGot some make your own model kits. Got a car, a lion and a dinosaur for the kids place setting bags on christmas day. They are wind up ones so they can play races with them after they have put them together. They had small magic tricks in a foil bag so got them one each of them too, think they were 69p each.
Picked a tub of heroes, a bottle of schloer and a bottle of appletiser in tesco too. Its beginning to feel alot like christmas lol xx0
