  • Happy belated birthday peppa and Welcome to the newbies

Well done for the stocking makes some fab ideas, your all very creative. I couldn’t do the stocking challenge but I will be doing the reindeer challenge this month.

GTQ- that’s great news about your hearing, tinnitus is such a pain. Sorry to hear about the sad news what is this world coming too. Where I am from a teenage boy was murdered and they are letting the suspects (minors) go with no charges.

Cherry im glad that your move went ok, im the next to move got a moving date for 28th November and am viewing my new build flat next week. I can’t wait ! I usually put up my decoratinons on the first weekend of December but with moving that week I might have to hold off till the next week. Saying that I probably won't and will be putting things up as I go along unpacking.

Ohh lazysheep thanks for the costa and starbucks Christmas menus I am going into costa at the weekend I might have to get a Christmas drink, its never too early.

I got my celebrations tub in Tesco yesterday as they are down to £4.00, also got princes marshmallows and chocolate fingers on offer too. Went into M&S and they had their specially selected chocolate truffles on offer down to £3.00 a box, so bought a few for back up presents. CO-OP had advent calendars 2 for £3.00 so bought two maltster's ones. cheaper than in the supermarkets. Main presents have all been bought now I've just got to buy stamps and write the cards. This weekend will be wrapping presents and storing them in my mums loft/spare room ready for when I move. :j

    Hi Folks

I have taken advantage of being home alone this afternoon to get all the pressies out and lay them on our bed.Not that much to be honest now that the kids are grown.

Son and GF will get cash in their bank account,DD1 finished,BF finished,Random little gifts for people finished My Mum needs box of biscuits or something,MIL done..Mr V looking healthier now his batterypack thing/whatever has come.He actually does need socks so that may be it with perhaps some chocolate.DD2 (15) more or less done, she is also having some money.Just need to get her some chocolate or something to fill her stocking.

Hmm that reminds me ,I bought aldi chocolate coins and cant remember where I have put them.

We did a food shop today and I got loads of freezer stuff and fancy crackers and nibbles. They had sold out of trifle sponges so we must not be the only people who plan in advance.

Am sat here with the log burner lit,may just be time for a hot chocolate.

    Vx

  • Thank you all so much for your well wishes with our move. We are still surrounded by boxes! We need to get some new furniture so we actually have somewhere to put our stuff! I’ve not been well this week which has knocked me for six a bit and so not much has been done around here which isn’t making it feel like home at the moment. We’ll get there eventually!

The in laws have Wiggle today so I’m just resting and catching up on here, like I say I haven’t been very productive this week! Even my Halloween decorations are still up! My MIL has been having Wiggle for a full day every now and again which has made so much difference, I love him so much but it’s so hard to get things done at times so this has really helped.

I’m doing pretty well on the Christmas present front and I should have everything done this month which I’m really pleased about. I’ve also started on my first Christmas book – The Xmas Factor.

I’ve tried to catch up as best I can but I’m afraid I haven’t been able to comment on everything. I’m thinking of you all though.

Peppa happy belated birthday! I’m glad you managed to have a nice day despite the chemo, you’re nearly there!

Nic sorry to hear you’ve been having trouble with your boy, but as others say I am sure you are being a very good mum and it sounds like you are dealing with it as best you can.

GTQ I can’t believe your friend has her Christmas tree up already!! That is absolutely awful news from your area, how horrible. It is truly devastating that these things go on.

Cherry I hope the move went well and that you are settling into your cottage well.

Dom I hope you get a diagnosis for the lump soon and that everything is ok.
  • I just popped back on as I realised I didn't say how wonderful your stocking crafts were! You really all are so creative. Will you be carrying this on next year? I don't see myself having time to join in before Christmas what with other crafts I need to finish but would like to think I could after Christmas.

Wow, have we gone quiet or is my iPad playing up - no posts since PK almost 20 hours ago! Hope you're feeling much better soon PRINCESSKITTY so you can get more boxes unpacked and the decs out. :D

Raining here today so feeling the need for a nice fire and my gingerbread candle. Might have to take a leaf out of your book VULPIX and pop to the shop to get some hot chocolate too. Still feeling festive, long may it continue. More mini stuff to do today but might make a start on the reindeer challenge too. Can't believe two of you are finished now - yes MURIE and FREE, we know who you are lol. :)
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :
  • Gosh, it is quiet here!

Need to change my duvet this weekend I think, 1 tog is beginning to feel a bit too light!

Nothing much to report, although I did pick up a box of candy canes in Lidl for £1, they had peppermint & strawberry flavours.

Going to test drive a car tomorrow  8mth old Focus, if I like it, (have had one before, but this one has buckets seats which I am not sure about), it will be a bargain & half. Had to decide whether to pay cash or finance. Will eat up half my savings but not getting any interest, so why should I pay to buy? Very MSE!

  • It does seem quite on here today, went into this is it and bought a water glitter tree for my Christmas table. I was looking at one in JL but it was £20.00:eek: got mine for £7.99 which is a much better price. Also got some tissue paper, money wallets and gift boxes reduced in an early bird sale, which will last for next year too.

this year im doing a hot chocolate station just got to get my flakes and then it will be ready for the flat. Got some co-op vouchers through the post for Christmas products for local store so keep an eye out for them. I was looking for trifle sponges too and they were sold out that's strange. I was not impressed with the costa Christmas menu this year its alright if you like lattes, the lindt hot chocolate sounds nice as does the salted caramel cappuccino.

Aldi have some nice gift ideas in their latest magazine, also they have some nice desserts in that look luxurious but at low prices.

I'll know we're heading for Christmas when dd3 and her fella call round with costa Christmas cups. Last Christmas they had one each every time they popped by.

Haven't been I. Aldi for a little while so I'll try and pop in and pick their magazine up.

Hope everyone is well, I've been out all day so only just got a chance to catch up.
