  • Really enjoying the buzz on here this month. Lots of new and welcome faces too!:hello: Keeps it interesting! I stalk a few other threads on MSE, but they never quite have the same pull to join in the way this one has.

Right, well nothing tangible to report, however, I have finally got a fleabay offer for 5 items at 50% off fvf, so have uploaded 5 things on BIN tonight. Hoping to clear a bit of space in the fleabay, cupboard of doom! Done some surveys and making progress with receipt hog and slide joy this month. So all positive.

Aside from that, have got an interview next week for a 12hr admin job at our yacht club (it is NOT as flash as it sounds, I promise!!!). I'm not really looking for work per say, what with DD2 only being 3months. It just cropped up. OH and I long since agreed it was right for us that I stay at home pre-school years, particularly as we happily live a very simple life compared to most, but the club are super flexible regarding both hours I choose to work and whether I need to have the girls with me on site. So it would be a 'nice to have' if you see what I mean. Plus, it's our club, so it would serve as a bit of social/me time too. Anyway, if it's meant to be, it will be. I've already told them my real job is my girls, so we shall see :)

Oh good luck surfchik. Sounds ideal to me. Not toomuch to disrupt time with baby and girls but something to keep the mind active too.

Oh no KM, that's maddening  I hope it shows up!!

Fairyclicks, I have had things go missing a few times and RM always reimburse me so hopefully you should get it sorted out soon.

So today was spent wrapping and posting a few ebay items. I can add another £25.77 to my total taking me close to the halfway point. Got a long weekend from work so I have a few bits and bobs organised which should bring in some more money :money:

Oh, and if anyone collects DM Rewards points, I have a spare set of Unique Numbers from yesterday...just PM me if you would like them :)
  • Good luck SurfChick, there's nothing better than getting for something you enjoy! Well so I've been told

Thanks - thats the idea. It'll be a juggle to start with, but DD1 (and in a couple more months DD2), spend a nice amount of weekly time with the in-laws anyway. If it can be squeezed in while they are already enjoying family time, then it seems silly to ignore the opportunity?! I wouldn't want to give up on the monthly challenge here though. Much of this becomes second nature after a while and its essentially FREE MONEY!

Speaking of jobs, any luck with your applications Aesop? Things often pick up a bit in spring with recruitment drives etc. :)

Cheers Shell :) Doing something you love is the ideal (set up by myself for a while - brutal yet wonderful at the same time!), but I saw a pretty good TedEx talk recently (we're a bit nerdy like that, but they are actually really, really good free and useful bits of entertainment!!) about learning to love what you already have/do. It may not work for everyone, but I remember thinking it was a good approach to making life more bearable during those periods we have to 'endure' something that isn't the ideal.

For those looking for free viewing ideas, definitely check out the TedEx talks on the tube of U. Some fab stuff!

  • The job sounds right for you surfchik!

Hope it works out for you.

Know what you mean about this earning on line malarky becoming second nature.

My face cream never turned up. Just have to put that one down to experience. I did have a thought that if I went and and bought two more......I would be back to each one costing me a tenner :rotfl:

I did a mystery shop on a gambling app yesterday, and won £40 with the bet I had to make, so that is a bonus, plus the £5 I will be paid for the mystery shop but I won't count that until it is paid.

Another £2 for a top sold on local facebay too, so that brings my total to £242 I think.
Brilliant result that - well done :T
