I don't think anyone is reading this thread any more (it was for January). If you saw it in Martin's weekly newsletter I noticed that his link is for the January thread so I wondered if many new people would find their way to us.

Hi Charlie007, if you use online banking with your mortgage companys bank you can usually see each months interest that is charged to your mortgage account in the same way you can look at your bank statement. This usually fluctuates dependent on whether its a 28, 30 or 31 day month etc. So simply take January for example and divide that figure by 31. If you have a repayment mortgage then month on month the interest figure should reduce slighty too. I love watching mine go down!! Just wish it would drop a little quicker.
