    Hi all

£7.50 to add this morning from cash for clothes and a few more bags out of the house.

Good luck with the job Aesop.

Hope all those who have been under the weather are on the mend.

Oh, just remembered I sold a couple of hand made cards at work the other day so another £2 to add.

I took your advice Aesop (and others) and emailed the council tax telling them when I am going to pay and how much. I was very polite but did state that it was their error and I shouldn't have to suffer financially because of it. Got standard automated reply so will have to wait and see what happens.

Have had very busy first week back at school so hoping for a fairly quiet weekend.

Hi everyone :) just popping in for a read as trying to get into habit of calling in daily again.

Nothing added to my bank balance as yet, but plenty of work getting done - have started doing a 10,000 steps to £10,000 challenge for myself as determined to get some money into savings this year.

Have plenty of sales to sort out at the min and invoices etc so some more cash should be through soon.

My OH was here yesterday and 'lost' £280 out of his pocket - he does that all too frequently but thankfully it was here :) don't think i can do the it was down my sofa trick that i do when he looses coins down there :P lol!

Well done everyone on great totals already this month - so many of you over £100 and ahead of the game already :D

PS i'd like to start working on couponing - any tips?

  • Just stopping by to update my total. I can't believe how quickly this thread moves - think I need to sit down with a cuppa and have a catch up. I've been busy in the background making a few extra pennies from some matched bets, m*sic m@gpie, as well as redeeming on sw@gbucks for some Am@zon vouchers and £5 in interest. So my total so far is £71.40 - almost £10 per day. Lets hope I can keep it up!

  • I'll certainly do that next time, although I doubt there'll ever be anything like that amount of stuff to post all at once again:eek:.
I could have just made something up I suppose, like telling her that they were all the same thing but they were such a mix of shapes and sizes I'd have been rumbled:rotfl:

I've only ever been there with 3 books to post at most at any one time. It's a tiny village store type PO and it's recently changed hands. I don't think the staff are fully au fait with the workings of it yet;). The alternative PO I use sometimes seems to take bags of parcels from people just as yours did. Will try there if there's a next time;)

It definitely makes it easier and saves the evil looks from the queue behind you so win win x

Did you know there is a prepayment card for paying for your posting at post office? My PO told me about it a while ago as i do a lot of parcels at times. I didn't get it but it sounded like a good idea :)

I've gotten into the habit of stealing left-behind receipts in the self-serve at tosco and m*rrisons for receipthog :rotfl: you can only do 3 per retailer per day but taking mine and grabbing 2 that have been left behind (there's always a pile of the things sticking out of the machine) gets me some more points :money:

When I lived in Cardiff I used to do this and get the club card points that hadn't been claimed (yes naughty I know) but all the shops round here seem really tidy all the time, never any receipts left around :( x

My cashback from sky (switching to sky broadband/phone saved us £20 a month so it was already a win) that was confirmed 5 months ago finally became Payable, just cashed out £84.84!!!
And I might have sold one of my slings for £80 too but that won't be confirmed until tomorrow. Going to update my total. I fear I'm setting myself up for. Big disappointment in Feb... But I'm not going to complain, at this rate we might almost clear one of our overdrafts!!! Omg!

I switched to sky a few months back and saved about £10 a month and got a £100 prepaid mastercard you can't go wrong really can you . So far so good with them as well x
