Well done to all money-makers, lots of lovely money made and loads of posts already. Keep it up folks:beer:

Struggling to keep my eyes open as 39 out of my 47 eBay listings sold last night:j:j:j and I stayed up packaging until 3.15. Had to admit defeat after that but am already up and wrapping again (after 2 cups of strong tea to get me kick-started). I tried to get those that had bids partially packed bit by bit prior to the auction ending but couldn't finish them off as I always print out and enclose a receipt. Want to get them all posted today, I'll be really popular with any other people queuing in the PO:o

Made a total of, wait for it, £194.20 profit:eek: after all postal costs and fees which is now all in my Paypal account. A few things sold for the starting price of £1 but a few others did better than I'd ever dreamed they would:T. None of it was anything special though, I'm amazed what people will buy:rotfl:

The 8 that didn't sell are going to be relisted today, the free listings/1p final closing fee offer ends today. I doubt I can find anything else to list but might have a last look if I can scrape together some energy from somewhere;)

See you all later. I hope work goes down OK today for anyone going back after the long break:beer:

lol, but then I would lose the people who want to make £10 or £5 or £15 or £550 for the month!

We need posts like yours about the different ways you make money, it is inspirational and helpful, and gives lots of people different ideas.

But on the topic of their politics, we will leave it at that. :D

That's really good, well done! Everyone's ebay sales seem to be be going well at the moment, let's hope the ebay god keeps smiling on us all! :A

When I went to take my Collect Plus parcel yesterday, I don't think I was popular. The parcel was quite heavy and she asked me to take the parcel into her store room as she couldn't lift it. When I went into the store room it was completely full of parcels. She said they normally only have a handful of parcels at a time, but at the moment they were overloaded due to Christmas returns and not having had a collection since before New Year's Day. I hope when the driver comes he has a big van and has had his weetabix!

Thanks, Aesop:T You're always so sweet and encouraging to people:A

I don't deserve that accolade though, other people do a lot better than that:o

Am wondering whether to bite the bullet and spend the lion's share of the profit on getting my dead washing-machine repaired (can't go on much longer without one:eek:). Have put the repair man off twice because I couldn't justify the money before. Plus, I still haven't bought my new specs and that definitely needs doing asap:o. At the end of the day I'd still have a 10 year old machine that could easily be a drain on cash again. Or should I dig into my emergency fund and buy a new one? I'm so used to making-do that I feel incredibly guilty if I buy anything new:o. New ones are so much more energy-efficient than mine though.

Just been on facebook and seen my old selling group - lots of arguments there overnight lol. One over a bin! :rotfl: only problem is it is getting nasty now! Honestly some people have nothing better to do.

In the real world, buy yourself a new washing machine with emergency fund. You deserve it. And it will be energy efficient which is what you need.

as for your glasses, did you get your eyes tested? have you done the online specs thing? save some money there.

OK - this one's not worth much but as every penny counts... If you have a Boots Advantage Card, log into your account and check what offers are available. I just found an offer for 50 free points (worth 50p) when I next make a purchase (of any amount) in store. You have to load the offer to your card through the website, and the offers are personalised so other people might not have the same offer. It's worth checking though.

Carboot, I would buy a new machine. As you say the old one could break down again and you might just be throwing more money away getting it fixed. I guess with the sales you might be able to pick up a new one for a good price at the moment.

In view of your recent successes here is a special challenge just for you: Sell the old washing machine for more than the cost of a new one!
