Evening folks :hello:
Hope you're all having a great weekend. Great to see so many having a fantastic start this month. Well done :T
Made a good start to the year today.
Had to renew my house contents insurance for the year and had received a quote from them. After a little chat on the phone managed to shave £44 off that :j
Took my little note-book into C*X to see if they would buy it. They had to have it for a few hours to check it out and long story short they gave me £45 cash for it :j
So that's £89 start to the month
Hope you all have a super Sunday

So as I am £300 short for my bills this month
I have had to be drastic and had a huge clear out of DVD's and Books so I have £154.86 to add today from Music Magpie, Ziffit and Webuybooks. I also have £7.46 of ebay sales to add after fees so I am on £162.32 so far which will at least pay the council tax - not the best start to the year but I think we have hit rock bottom now the only way is up x

Apart from that very quiet except my suspension's gone on my big trailer (use it for picking up logs etc) - so seeing a guy tomorrow with a scrap one he wants rid of - so maybe I can use it to fix mine ? - otherwise around £150 for the bitz :eek:0 -
I keep thinking about that stone you sold, Procrastinater. How big and heavy was it? I've got a massive Rock Rose which weighs a ton! Well, not literally, but it's really heavy. Measures about a 14 inches across. Was given it by some friends who were downsizing their home and were discarding stuff willy nilly, they just wanted rid. I asked why they didn't sell it but they seemed baffled as to how or where. Now I have the same problem:o
Mailing it would be problematic and it's no use saying 'collection only' as it's so rural here that no-one would want to come all this way for it. I once bought 250 books sold as a job lot on eBay and was the only bidder and got them at the starting price of £5:j. The seller thought they'd make a lot more than that but being so far from civilization I expect no-one wanted the bother and expense of the journey. Luckily for me I was only 10 miles from him:j. I wonder if he would be interested in buying my Rock Rose:rotfl:0 -

I'm not going to be a deal of help here I'm afraid ! - It was about the size of a match box ! I could have sent it as a large letter if I'd shaved a couple of mm off it - but it would have spoiled it. So it went as "less than100 gms" and I got it away first class at a decent cost.
I'm thinking you're going to have to cart your rock rose around the car boots when they start agin !
2p each is a great price for buying books in :T
I expect you managed to fing a profit in amogst them ! :cool:0
