Oh... forgot to say. Whilst raking through our cupboards, I found an out-of-date tub of bicarbonate of soda.
Both OH and I said "we can use it for cleaning!!" at the same time.
    :rotfl:

Unfortunately, neither of us know what to use it for or how to use it?? Any suggestions?? Please don't say kitchen cupboards.
    :p

    Hugs to you all.

Jeanangeo - well done on your fantastic run of NSD'S. You are right about how addictive it can be saving instead of spending.

Fmess - you are doing ever so well too.

CCL - it sounds as though you are witnessing the bad side of the NHS right now. I do hope your OH can get the follow up care he deserves.

Mothernerd - well done for posting under difficult circumstances. I can just imagine you in the library with the countdown on, so annoying.

Dolly - fantastic getting so much for your car so cheaply. And your spendy day wasn't huge either was it. I am so pleased for you finding a £20. Happy days!

FunBrum - your doing so well for your first challenge. Enjoy your pizza :)

Stewby -I'd say it counts yes :) also you can use bicarb to clean taps, loos, sinks, anything where an abrasive scrub will clean away grime really.

Anyone who feels they aren't doing well on days just think, if you even didn't spend on one day you would normally have done you are a winner!

NSD 6 here. We are currently eating up mystery defrosted box dinner 1. This one contained a lentil and sausage stew. It's rather good. Have served it with a small portion of a YS chicken I roasted earlier. The rest of the chicken is portioned up in the fridge and the carcass is in the stock pot.

I'm hoping to get out for a womble tommorow as it's shopping day. But annoyingly it's rained all afternoon which means wet reciepts....annoying.

    Have a good night.

Managed another NSD, bringing me to 5 so far :j
I suppose it helps that it pours with rain all the time, so it is easy to avoid going out unless absolutely necessary :(

Quick post tonight to claim my NSD :j need to check back to see how many I have achieved so far this month.

Had a very lazy day as OH went out to watch football so I spent all afternoon cuddled up on the sofa with the dogs watching back to back films. Sometimes you just need a little me time to just veg out.

Will need to spend tomorrow as need parrot food so will check what else may be needed in the next few days to try to secure a few more NSD's.

Today was another NSD taking me up to 5:T

Been a busy bee today, trying to catch up with some of the washing plus doing housework.
I have made a lemon cheesecake from bits we got at Xmas but never got round to making and also made apple sauce ready for our pork tomorrow.(Pork from our own pigs last year, hopefully this year I can make apple sauce from apples from our own trees plus with the allotment hopefully producing I might be able to do a whole roast dinner with stuff that we have grown/reared)

Still nothing for free and not made charity donation - must start a list of things which are needed and then I can buy them on a spend day - hopefully Tuesday will be my next spend day.

Spend day for me today but I did get my haircut for almost half price using loyalty points :D DS needed wellies for some outdoor activities he is doing at school next week so £8 spent on them in Primarni as well as doing the rest of the weekly shop.

Oh and we have put an offer in on a house that came on the market this morning. We are besides ourselves with excitement but may not hear until next week. In a complete contrast to the house we looked at yesterday this is a little smaller but completely done, and done well so apart from curtains and some interior doors we wouldn't need to spend anything :D Its cheaper than the dooer upper too and well within budget :D It is also within spitting distance of the primary school I wanted DS to go to but we are currently no where near the catchment area so he goes elsewhere.

I can't stop looking at the photos on line and at curtains, blinds, furniture :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Food budget is being squeezed but if our offer is accepted we will be on serious 'eat everything so we don't have to move it' mode. I am at least, for the first time ever, keeping my freezer stock list up to date.

Hall and living room have been scrubbed and the kitchen decluttered as our house is going on the market on Friday :)

Pay day seems an awful long time away when I have put us on such a tight budget this month :(
    Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
    Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
    Make £2021 extra income - £99.75

    Night all,

Spendy day as predicted but got everything done and paid for in one day. Yesterday I got two freebies - half a ton of paint and a chocolate Santa. I've painted most of the inside of the conservatory today, just hoping the bottom of the tin will be enough to finish the edges tomorrow.

Mothernerd - congratulations on the house sale and well done on being a trooper and still logging on to update!

Xspender - congratulations on the house

    Hugs to all
