Oven cleaning company did a great job and it looks fantastic Rest of the kitchen nearly there and there is living room carpet again.
Now for a fast swoosh round the bedroom, Dyson the carpet tomorrow and then have a splendid time.
Still at 2 NSD's and 2 lunches to work (only working 2 days at the moment but that has to change)
Back Sunday, have a splendid time all‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Yesterday was a NSD so up to 5/21 and I also went to the gym. Today there's been lots of little spends - drink with my sister, some fine food from Markies, bus fare.
Managed to redeem a £5 voucher from doing surveys so that's now £10.50 towards christmas. Payday today from 2nd job so made a wee payment towards the debt - getting there slowly.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86
Mortgage overpayment savings - £3.33/£50

Hi everyone and thanks for all your support regarding my son :T I really appreciate it
Mothernerd- Fabulous news regarding your payments :T CCL, that's wonderful what your planning to do with your children. My daughter hopes to specialise in this field one day after she graduates, as she feels it an area without enough attention drawn to it too. That's fantastic, you have shown so much strength dealing with all of this :T
Catwoman-well done on the bonus and the payments :T

Good evening everyone.
Good news... we have had one dry day today (thank goodness). Thanks for the well wishes Dolly.
I think the North of England has it quite bad too. Hopefully the damage will be quickly repaired.
Mothernerd... Is that your new debt total in your signature or are you now debt free?? Congratulations on selling the house and making a massive payment. It's amazing!!

I am such a wuss Catwoman... I just can't say no to my boss. Although in fairness, my boss is brilliant with me and we have a very good working relationship.
I am very lucky in that respect.
Today was a spendy day but I couldn't make it any different. Grand total of £10 put into a colleagues leaving gift but other colleagues owe me £2 each (four of them) so a grand total of £2 spent officially.
My colleagues are all flooded in and they wanted to contribute to the leaving fund so I text and offered to put in for them.
Owed my Dad some money and have paid that back and bank is still looking reasonably okay. Feeling quite pleased about that.
Hope everyone is doing okay. Hugs to you all.Mortgage: £0/£80,329.91

Today was one of my planned spend days - will update grocery budget tomorrow.
Shouldn't have any more spends until Monday or Tuesday...
Have a great weekend everyone!!0 -
Hi everyone!
Spend day today. Needed business supplies so did weekly shop at the same time. Spent £35.18 including business bits and a small gift for a party ds is going to tomorrow.
Been unofficially told my temp contract in my new job is likely to be extended from March to at least June. They can't promise anything at this stage, but keeping fingers crossed.
Tenant hasn't paid rent today and not heard from them so may have to chase that.0 -
Love catching up on everyone's posts, well done all! Another spend day for us today as my husband needed to have his hair cut. I asked him to wait until tomorrow as I need to go to the shop for some milk and bread but it's always busy apparently so it had to be today! (His job requires his hair to be neat so it's a constant expense. I cut mine myself to counteract it :rotfl:Very: £965.30 (must be gone by 01/07/16)

Hi Bob
No I don't... I didn't even think of that... Recipes anyone? I know what I'll be having a go at this weekend...
Well. I'd get a nice section of legs, thighs and wings to start off with..make yourself up a batter. Then add spices to it as desired. I'm not sure what the Colonel puts in his but I'd go for garlic salt, smoked paprika, cayenne, a tiny bit of cumin and plenty of salt and pepper. Then sprinkle your battered chicken in very fine bread crumbs. And oven cook for 30 mins to make sure the meat is cooked properly. After that flash fry each piece in a smoking hot pan of oil to get the crispy goodness going on. Serve with corn on the cob drenched in butter and maybe some home made baked beans" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Cat woman- spent years trying to perfect hummus. Never tasted the same as shop bought. I eventually found a version with horseradish
Wow I'm surprised to hear of hummus with horseradish. Keen to try it myself now." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Achieved my 2nd NDS today, bit disappointed I missed out on one by £1.71 that I spent on a snack yesterday. I was away with work and was absolutely starving
I usually keep a couple of healthy snacks in the car but hadn't replaced them after the Christmas break.
DH sold a duplicate toy DS got for Christmas for £10 tonight but that money will be going in DS's savings account. DH is now fired up to sell a few more things and I have a couple of ideas of items to sell to clear some clutter.
Should manage a NSD tomorrow and Sunday as I plan do my food shop and any other spending on Saturday when I have a hair cut booked.
Don't beat yourself up. Most of success comes down to planning doesn't it. Could you start off some kind of visual reminder system like a board in your kitchen where you note these things down? Or somewhere that you see whilst in the right place like back of your front door etc?" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D
