Hi all, hope you've all had a good day and kept up the good work:) Hope you're feeling better lego mum!

I re-did my first Zombies today as I forgot to turn it off yesterday so it wasn't exactly accurate! Something like 2 hours for 4km! I checked it when I finished but forgot to press stop! Anyway, today was better, 4.92km in 36 mins 20. So I've decided my first goal with be 5km in 35 minutes, bit of a stretch at the mo, but manageable I think. I only got caught by the zombies once out of 4 chases :) I'd definitely recommend the app, so much fun. Bit of a pain running at lunchtime at work, definitely won't be doing that if I have an afternoon meeting!

I like your ideas of getting a bit dressed up, bit of make up and what not. I always feel better when I do it, its just the effort. I do my hair on a morning, it's fairly short and it's so used to being washed everyday that it needs doing everyday. Face wise, got a massive flare up at the mo, not good, but fingers crossed it's on it's way out now. I don't really do smart clothes, I'm a scientist and the E. Coli don't really care what I look like! I shall buy some once I've lost a few pounds :)

Off for a big bubbly bath now the small one is in bed, try to relax my legs a bit! Feeling the burn! On the upside, started off at 67.9kg, down to 66.5kg already! Must have been pigging out over Christmas more than I thought!

Is that the app where you run with Zombies chasing you? I'd like to try that.

Yesterday I managed 3 miles before - warning, TMI - I started bleeding heavily and had to high tail it home. I had a miscarriage a couple of months ago and things have been a bit odd since. It was a bit disheartening and made me feel a bit low but I called OH and he ordered me to have a bubble bath, put on some music, then do some sewing...so that's what I did!

I had a small cheese sandwich for lunch then dinner was peppers stuffed with a herby rice mix and a couple of dates after.

    Today will be:

Breakfast: 1 slice toast (it's homemade bread so a big thick slice) with marmite, tea

    Lunch: Carrot soup

    Dinner: Vegetable pie, mushy peas

I'm hoping that just cutting out the alcohol alone will help as I only really have one dress size to go.

I've also been trying to make myself get dressed earlier. Since I've been at home during the day I've struggled with that but I'm in the habit of wearing make up every day anyway.

Yesterday was a good food day. Being free from alcohol has seen my face look a little slimmer and my clothes fit better.

I weighed myself this morning and it comes in at 67kg. Thought I'd pop that here so I can see progress. I will try and remember to weigh myself again next week!

Breakfast was porridge made with 1/2 cup oats, soya milk, cinnamon, a few frozen cherries, a banana and 1/2 tbsp honey.

    Lunch will be carrot soup.

Dinner will be homemade veggie pizza but I'll only have a couple of slices and bulk my plate up with a big salad.
  • Hello :)

Things have been good past couple of days, eating well and my jeans are fitting a bit better. Still a bit to go before I can wear them and breathe out in comfort but it's still early days.

Longer term I'm thinking of joining Weight Watchers, they're changed the points system (again) and are apparently more focused on protein etc. I also think I will join the gym but going to wait til next month as don't want to join in January then never go! I generally prefer exercise at home but will see how I feel after I've lost a few pounds.

Also, I am utterly skint just now :(. Things will be tight for a while so I have to be careful. Luckily I have enough toiletries and make up to last some time as well as plenty of decent food in the freezer. Will have to wait a while until I can get my hair done but I do have a voucher I can use to get my nails done :).

  • It has not been a good week for me...my plans to kick start the year healthily have gone awry due to being off work ill :( I have had pizza twice in one week!
