  • Everyones doing fab so far :).
I went to my friends for lunch and kept it within calories, avoided biscuits (feel worthy of a medal for this!!!) then we went for a long walk.

Wore some make up today too, just a bot of foundation and eyeshadow with a little bit of mascara. I'm a bit lost when it comes to eyeliner/mascara, need to learn.
£15900 loan (including interest) over 3.5 years to pay off...can I do it sooner???

I was terrible with eyeliner until about 3 years ago. (When I say terrible...I had the kanck of transforminh my natutral English rose look into goth gone wrong in about 15 seconds).

When is was leading up to my wedding I decided to have a makeup lesson on one of the designer make-up counters (YSL) and the lady told me that for my fair complexion and big eyes, using powder as an eyeliner was better for me compared to the usul stick or liquid liner option. I ivested in one of their £40 (ish) pallets with 5 shades in (4 to be blended on eyelids and one to be used as a liner with a small, thin, brush.) From the first day I had success and get compiments nearly everyday about my eye make-up now! So easy to do! And looks natural but dramatic at the same time!

Ladymarmalade, Iol at goth gone wrong! that's sounds like my attempts to try a new look!

    Todays  & :A
:A gym done, omg I'd not had this trainer before!
    :A 11262 steps done
 no more chocolate left in the house
  • can i join in. my BMI is just over 25 and i really want to get it to a normal level. so ideally i need to loose a few kg. (as growing is not going to happen). I fell off the wagon of the gym and diet in December as had lots going on.
My goal is aiming for the basics. gym three - four times a week
eating less stuff in packages (the one with pictures of your meal- junk)
daily brush hair into a style, make up and look some way neat.

I've been rotating the same 2/3 outfits for the past couple of months as theyre the only items that fit (stretch) :(. Wish I'd woken up to my weight gain before now but I was at a stage where I really didn't care. I am now off work until the New Year so can at least stay in my Christmas pyjamas most of the time ;)

I can relate to this so much!! Mind if I join?

I'm only a size 10, which I know isn't huge, but all my clothes are 6/8  and I have so many beautiful things I'd love to wear and no money to replace them :( I wore a stretchy Sainsburys work dress on NYE which didn't make me feel particularly great when everyone else turned up in glitzy things.

I only have a little way to go, but I always find that little bit quite hard to shift!! I'm going to try to get back into running again and eat more veggies!

I should probably add that I ate two shortbread biscuits whilst writing that, after a breakfast of leftover quiche, blue cheese and crackers and a Mars bar ice cream :(

I'm going to coincide this with dry January as booze and hangovers really don't help my eating habits.

Hello thanks for joining us :). Your goals sound realistic and very achievable, the 'basics' are very important :). It's a shame about the not growing, I am definitely too short for my weight :rotfl:

Welcome MandM90, I was the same...a size 10 with a wardrobe of 8s and felt like a balloon. Now I'm struggling to fit into a 12 . But glad to finally be doing something about it. You are so right, the less you have to lose the slower it happens, also when u are smaller, the odd 1lb makes a massive difference. Good luck for dry January :).

If this has worked, I have finally learnt to multi quote :rotfl:

I can't keep chocolate in my house! It has a maximum of four hours before I destroy it :rotfl:.

Do you have a personal trainer at the gym?

    Sometime in January I will:

    Get weighed  dreading it
    Get hair done :)
Practice eyeliner and maybe also visit a counter for advice

I'll also make the effort to have nice hair, bit of make up and spritz some perfume everyday.

Going to calorie count and do exercise DVD with the odd run too :D
