that old Cov card does sounds interesting Flock.
On the 'posh' card subject, I still think the classic Amex design (Green, Gold, Platinum & Centurion charge cards) is pretty smart :)

agreed. never had one. but my brother has the Green one for work.. you couldnt have that design in the UK until a few months ago, at least for a good few years. my Amex Cashback is a winner.. but i'd have it looking like the green card if i could:think:

Practical as well as posh, I would like one of these. Sorry I don't know how to post a picture with my phone, try the link:

    https://www.sc.com/sg/ways-to-bank/online-security-token-card.html

It incorporates a keypad for security verification. Singapore is always technically ahead of UK but maybe it will come (if not already).

    that Does look interesting, eDicky:)

Doesn't look like it (for most people), a bitter 0.25% interest and free CHAPS/Wire transfers. I'm sure there are other normal current accounts with better offers unless of course you transfer abroad a lot. FlexPlus from Nationwide is one heck of a account for £10/mo.

Living abroad at the moment. Visit overseas twice a week at least so very handy. Customer service is exceptional.

I thought Platinum was a posh word....until my OH got a card from Capital One. http://www.capitalone.co.uk/creditcards/classic-mastercard-credit-card.jsf

    It's a credit builder card with a £200 credit limit.....and it'd a Platinum card.

Excellent reply I have a Cap 1 'platinum' card recently 'upgraded' to a exclusive 450 limit.

If I include my rbs platinum account with 250 overdraft facility, does that mean i'm posh;):D

  • I had a personalised capital one cashback cars with a picture of my last dog rolling in the snow. They kindly swapped it for a pain black one when I lost him and I never looked back. The personalised one wasn't contactless but it was a good conversation starter.
  • The Barclays Premier one looks super posh but way out of my league LOL I can only dream LOL

    who knows maybe one day

still haven't seen a picky of a real life Lloyds Bank Gold Account Visa Debit. fingers crossed. the one on their website doesn't do the trick for me.
