Practical as well as posh, I would like one of these. Sorry I don't know how to post a picture with my phone, try the link:

It incorporates a keypad for security verification. Singapore is always technically ahead of UK but maybe it will come (if not already).

I have the cheque book, similar design but not black.

    I like it.

Well if we are going on pure aesthetics rather than usefulness, I quite like the Natwest Private debit card I've got. Not the black account one as I'm not paying for that, and as far as I can tell, all I've got is a bog standard current account with a relationship manager thrown in. But the card looks nice even if it's almost never used :-)

Oh and a +1 from me on the Santander gold card design. My 2 (sole and joint accounts...) are snuggled up, keeping each company in a drawer somewhere.

    Merry Christmas to all!

Havent Santander pushed up the price of having their 123 account? Again not much good to me as I don't pay anything by Direct Debit so would not benefit from the cashback part.

Santander are increasing the Bank Account Fee to £5/month from next month and the 123 Credit Card will attract a fee of £3/month from next month (on the account's opening anniversary).

I work in Retail and have seen a few people (over the years) with a Coutts' card and someone even used a AmEx Centurion card as well once (I just hope it's worth the Annual Fee of £1,800!)

The card could be 50 shades of Dulux emulsion for all I care :rotfl: so long as it does the job it's meant to.
It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.

Posh credit cards these days, don't have the prestige it did have, looking at Barclaycards, most will have "Platinum" written on it, unless you go for one of their hotel ones.

Lol. Barclaycard just sent me a new Mastercard as my existing one will expire at the end of the next month.

It now has "Platinum" on it (though it's white in colour).

Was a standard Barclaycard before. No increase in credit limit or anything.

I think the Platinum card is their standard card. It's what I have and it's what most on their website are.

    Interestingly, they're all labelled Visa.

Barclaycard have occasionally issued Mastercards in the past, although not as their main card, which has always been Visa. No Mastercards are on offer at the moment, but it sounds like they continue to replace them for existing Mastercard holders.

They give you a Mastercard if you want another account to separate expenses (i.e. business and personal), though they did split the credit limit between the two (which has been been increased anyway).
