Posh Bank cards

Virtually no one sees your card these days so it doesn't matter a jot what colour or design it is. In fact your card doesn't even have to leave the house any more with the advent of Apple Pay. I have a raft of credit cards which live in a drawer and never see the light of day as they are purely used for online banking transactions. Shame really as some are rather attractive.0

Cards, Apple Pay, Contactless Cards.
LOL I honestly still wind my gramophone by drawing Cash and also writing cheques to pay bills.
What is the good of Apple Pay (don't even know what it is) if you don't have an apple computer?0 -
There is nothing nicer than the tactile feel of a crisp £20 or £50 note. Give me a bubdle of those any time over a plastic card.0

Phone*.
Most shop systems already had capability of implementing Apple Pay, right now it has same purpose as contactless payments due to the £ limit which should be soon increased.0 -
Think I'll stick to cash. Doubtless paying by this Apple Pay is yet another way for retailers, technology companies and the government to watch and see what you are spending.0

I have a couple of pound coins in my car for the supermarket trolley but other than that I never handle cash and haven't done for a few years now. You can even pay car parking charges with plastic these days0 -
Does that mean my Platinum Barclaycard and Natwest cards aren't posh?
IMO they are both quite ugly.
I think my nicest card is Santander 123, despite what appears to be a pile of steaming dog poo in the top left corner:
It puzzles me why Santander adds "WORLD" at the bottom right.
a simple reference to their usefulness as a bank0 -
Havent Santander pushed up the price of having their 123 account? Again not much good to me as I don't pay anything by Direct Debit so would not benefit from the cashback part.0

Your card details are generated into a "Device Account Number" which means the Retailer and Apple are unable to access your physical card details (i.e CVV code).
It's stored securely on a chip within the iPhone and can't be deciphered by anyone. Not even Apple!
It's not for everyone (like some people enjoy using contactless whereas others don't) but it's been handy when I've been to the shops and left my wallet at home. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0
