Designs mean nothing, I would use a blank white card if i had to, It's all to do with how much money is available to spend on the card0

Although it's all marketing, I must admit I'm a bit of a snob where bank cards are concerned and refuse to be seen with my M&S card which is possibly the ugliest card around (especially as the only reason I have the account is for the 6% RS).0

Does that mean my Platinum Barclaycard and Natwest cards aren't posh?
IMO they are both quite ugly.
I think my nicest card is Santander 123, despite what appears to be a pile of steaming dog poo in the top left corner:
It puzzles me why Santander adds "WORLD" at the bottom right.
All Santander customers are "world"

However they can upgrade you to a "select" customer, which comes with gold card

I really don't give a toss about the card design. Why does anyone?0

It's all about trying to get noticed.0

I have another Santander credit card. It's very dark grey, not quite black, and doesn't have the word WORLD on it.0 -

Perhaps people mistake it for a Vanquis or cashplus gold card. When you've seen one...0 -

Just tell them that the gold card gets you commission/fee free cash withdrawals at Santander cash machines abroad, and at effectively interbank rates - that should impress them
Oh well, it saved me about £30 in Portugal this summer anyway on all the small bar purchases etc that you can't stick on a credit card...0 -
How about a POSH savings account instead?
