Havent Santander pushed up the price of having their 123 account? Again not much good to me as I don't pay anything by Direct Debit so would not benefit from the cashback part.

no DDs at all AFOS, and paying cash:cool: wow..

i occasionally draw some cash if im going to certain pubs, but other than that, never. Amex/Barclaycard/TSBDebit are my only current payment options..

and with 14 current accounts, not even sure how many DDs i have set up. 30odd:think:.. and i like to keep my finances relatively streamlined;)

I'm same as you, using Amex/Barclaycard (old Egg cards) and TSB contactless debit card for daily use. I have 5 current accounts and a dozen or so credit cards/accounts which are all managed/controlled using a money manager programme. This is set to project income/expenditure in advance so I can see at a glance how any transaction I make today will affect my finances over the next 6 months :D
  • the Santander select gold card looks very nice. Can you still get a Childs and Co card with RBS? I've read about that before.
  • RBS do not allow new customers, unless you go to branch in person.

RBS customers in England and Wales can apply for our Select account online. All other account types are available to apply for in one of our RBS England and Wales branches.

Yes, but RBS in England is being either floated off or sold off as Williams and Glyn.

I think Barclays used to have a "gift" or something as part of their current accounts which let you put a photo of your choice on your debit card.

It's not a gift it's just part of the service, and they still do.
