Does anyone know the details of tix4less for Cravings Buffet at Mirage?

I'm sure last time we looked it was 1/2 price, but you pay the $2 tix4tonight fee...there may still be a coupon for $1 off that somewhere.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?
  • I thought 1/2 price as well ferf1223. Tix4less website has 30-50% off, and I would not be suprised to find the 30% off related to dinner (or my tea as a Yorkshire lass).

Hi, has anyone done a grand canyon coach tour? I was quite happy to just see a glimpse from the plane on the way back to the UK, but my youngest really wants to see it. We will not be renting a car on this trip as I don't like driving. I know it's a long day, but just wondered if anyone had a particular company they thought were good,or bad. Thanks :)

Did it last time in Vegas with Grand canyon tour and travel booked via a booking office next to the giant Coke bottle on the strip (but you can book from virtually anywhere).
Great day out - the total silence and magnificent scenery a total opposite to the glitzy Vegas.
Takes about 5 hours in a coach - they will pick you up from your hotel (very early) and take you to the coach meeting point and you get a few toilet breaks on the way - ours included lunch.
We went to Mathers point - quite a few things to do as well as gawp at the big hole in the ground in front of you.
We had videos on the coach on but for me on the way back I had a kip so by the time we got back to our hotel was raring to go again.

IMO you have to see it - it is a wonder of the world.

Thank you :T I'll factor in time to do it. I've seen so many tours I wasn't sure who to go with. Or if I'd be bored stiff, in all honesty :o I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it:)

we like Dollar at TI, though the last few trips the cars have not been great - they have been mechanically fine, but have been around the block several times....but it's convenient. We haven't really looked at whether any of the other in-hotel desks are on any of the UK 3rd party sites recently as we're so used to just going with TI.

We like the convenience of TI as well. Getting to the hotel first when we land and picking up the next day beats lugging everything to the consolidated rental facility after a 10:30 minute flight.
Do watch out though and take a photo of your watch next to the car when returning it if you do the drop and go. I had a charge of $91 dollars taken from my cc due to late return of the car. I phoned up and insisted that I brought it back in time and in fact they hadn't factored in the 1 hour grace period. Money returned pronto.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

agree - we have always been upgraded just for asking nicely and tipping after, usually from Palace to Augustus but once from Forum to Augustus...but I am skittish about booking a room we wouldn't be happy with if it's where we ended up. PH taught me that.

Same here. Stayed there 3 times and upgraded to Augustus by just asking. Once we had to stay in our allocated room for one night until we could be moved up.

I still look back at my photos from the Grand Canyon and think WOW. As with our trip to Zion. Trust me, seeing it from a plane would not be enough and you wouldn't really experience the Grand Canyon. I have been twice, once flying and once on bus, obviously with plane it means the tour is only half the day, and worth it if you only have limited time, but costs quite a bit more.

For our bus trip, we used Pink Jeep Tours, smaller group and super comfy jeeps. We also used them for our trip to Zion. Highly recommend them, although not sure how the compare to others in terms of price though.

that's interesting - I don't think I realised they did further tours and looking at photos, I could see how it would be worth paying more to have a smaller group/vehicle.
