    hi
and thanks for the reply. On your first point when we have stayed at the mgm we have had to use our debit card and a deposit down which was like $200,I was unsure IF you charged things to your room, if you paid cash to cover that, or if the deposit was used or something else was used, in this cash is seems you use your CC.

do you mean they took a $200 hold on your debit card as the deposit against incidentals? If so, then it's no different than a CC, really, in principle - though it's usually an amount per night hold so would vary depending on how many nights you stay. I would imagine anything booked to the room would paid from the $200 hold and the balance of the hold would be released back to your account. I suppose you could go down before checking out and settle any charges in cash and then have the full $200 hold released.

One addendum - I think I said before, but maybe I didn't - we go down to the desk the night before we check out to see if there are any comps to be applied to the room, that way we don't have to deal with it on departure day. So yes, sometimes they reduce the value of what we charged to the room by any comps we may have available.

I'm, coincidentally, staying in the MGM during Manny Pacquiao's championship fight on the 9th of April (I check in on the 8th). I'm guessing it's going to be pretty busy and no chance of a room upgrade via a $20 tip :rotfl:

    hi
and i think thats what the $200 is for .I sorta assumed it was for a deposit against incidentals but also thought it was for the minbar,if you took anything from that and or if you ordered like premuim adult channels, movies on your tv!
but thanks for the feedback, i ll try remeber all the advice recently given

Best one in a while that includes Vegas, 30% off and availability looked waaay better than in the September sale. We've just cancelled and rebooked - cost £30 but only £10 net because we got £20 back as the taxes are cheaper and we saved 5,000 miles

Hi, I'm seriously considering doing this myself now. We are going for 15 nights 24th July-8th August but now am seriously considering extending it by even just a few nights as my leave runs out on 12th August. The thing is, I've booked seats in the bubble. If I change, will the seats change too without cost, or would I be expected to pay again? Bit steep, if they expect me to shell out again, so I hope not, lol. A few extra nights would mean we could go to San Diego. It's a not sure at the moment as I really want to have maximum time in Vegas :D Thanks.

I'd give Flying Club a ring, in my experience they're always extremely helpful. I'd be surprised if they made you pay again for your seats - they might need to do a refund and recharge to attach the seat booking to your new flight booking though

Thank you :) I'll give them a call. I'm in two minds now though as it looks like I can only get a couple more days :( I'll see if they have any further availability at their end. That happened once years ago for NY :)

oh my goodness - that's so kind of you to offer! If you have spare invites that you won't use otherwise, that would be absolutely amazing, thank you. :)

  • Hi Ferf

Of course it's ok. Someone once did it for us so it's nice to pay it forward. Now they have changed to rules that the people have to be in the same flight as you it's become harder to do. PM me your details and we can arrange the necessarys
