Hi we are thinking of going to Las Vegas for Christmas, we went 2 years ago and stayed at the Platinum which was off the strip and nice and quiet which we liked. We have wondered if this time we should try one of the hotels on the strip but worried it might by noisy with people going in and out all night and would we get a better deal.
l have been having a quick read through the threads but haven't managed to catch up with them all since our last trip yetbut was wondering what Social Rewards please, l have played slots on facebook (not used the rewards yet as we didn't have enough points for anything last time).
This time l would like to go to one of the outlet shopping areas and wondered if we could do this by bus? Is the outlet shopping area the one the call the Town Square with the cinemas? Would we be able to use the same bus to go to Walmart?
We think we might hire a car as we would like to see The Red Rock Canyon and not sure what else so any ideas would be great.
Has anyone used the shuttles from the hotels to the Town Square and if so is it only for people staying at the hotel?
Sorry for all the questions and many thanks in advance for your replies.Stash Busting Challenge 2016 6/520 -
The bendy buses that go up and down the strip go to both shopping malls.0

If you are in need of entertainment whilst you wait...... Mr Ferf has appeared on stage singing on the Strip in the past !!!
<runs and hides before Ferf sees this>
ha! I will let Mr Ferf know he may be called upon to perform again. I was thinking about the whole Donny and Marie thing last week...one of my biggest regrets in life is not pulling out at least my phone, I had the camera in my bag as well, and videoing 30 seconds of it...something. I think I was afraid of getting told off - either by security or Mr Ferf about the whole fiasco - that I just didn't. such a shame.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

It's a pity they don't get the official photographers to quietly take a couple of shots during that segment

Town Square is different to the outlets, it's a normal shopping centre (nice, but not outlets).
outlets are

The SDX bus goes to all 3 (the 2 outlets and Town Square).

I'm sure you could take a bus to one of the various WalMart locations, but not the SDX or Deuce. The RTC has a good interactive route finder on their website if you know where you are starting and where you want to go. We always have a hire car and for WalMart, particularly, wouldn't be able to cope on a bus as we normally get loads of stuff including drinks for the room (which includes a slab of bottled water).
If you are going to rent a car, maybe consider keeping it an extra day and doing the shopping then? Red Rock Canyon is great, Valley of Fire isn't that far and it is stunning. Having a car opens up loads of options.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
For the closest Walmarts to the strip, either take the 201 eastbound on Tropicana until you get to McLeod, or 203 westbound on Spring Mountain Road until you get to Rainbow. A third one is westbound Charleston at Decatur, but that's a bit further north.0

I'm looking to have a car for two days of the trip. Is pick up and drop off at TI the best option?0
-
we like Dollar at TI, though the last few trips the cars have not been great - they have been mechanically fine, but have been around the block several times....but it's convenient. We haven't really looked at whether any of the other in-hotel desks are on any of the UK 3rd party sites recently as we're so used to just going with TI.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0

Hi, has anyone done a grand canyon coach tour? I was quite happy to just see a glimpse from the plane on the way back to the UK, but my youngest really wants to see it. We will not be renting a car on this trip as I don't like driving. I know it's a long day, but just wondered if anyone had a particular company they thought were good,or bad. Thanks:A Your Always in my heart, you never ever will be forgotten-9/9/14:heart2:0

Does anyone know the details of tix4less for Cravings Buffet at Mirage?
Currently I have Wednesday and Thursday nights booked at Orleans, and Thursday to Sunday at Aria. There are benefits to having both booked on Thursday, but thinking of cancelling Orleans and booking just Wednesday night at Mirage via MyVegas (if taking everything in to account it saves a reasonable amount of $).0
