Out of curiosity, how much would you need to gamble/spend to gain comps/have resort fees waived? Are we talking hundreds or thousands..
hi
I remeber asking on the thread in the 2015 about comps and if i recall rightly i think the vast mojority of feedback and i agree was NOT to play for comps.
Is it your first time going to vegas? if so get an mlife card if you are staying in an mlife property or the one for cesars( sorry cant recall the name) and everyime you gamble use your card e,g put it in the slot machine or if its a table game give the dealer your card.
As with whatever gambling you do ONLY gamble what you can offord to lose. When we have been to vegas we have set aside money for food, shows, gambiling etc and pretty much stick to it.
As for getting the resort fees waived well i have little or no idea here, I think prehaps asking nicely, being a lil cheeky MAY help but maybe others can advice here0 -
Thanks for the reply!
Yeah, first time going and staying in the MGM. I play in casinos at home regularly and I'm planning on taking a separate gambling budget to Vegas.
I'll look into the mlife card, thanks again0 -
https://www.mlife.com
Sign up before you go. Especially if you're planning to play MyVegas. You will need to redeem any rewards before you go because most of them disappear when you arrive in Las Vegas. Locals really can't use many of the rewards at all.0 -
hi
and thanks for the response, I never knew that you could check the bill on the tv, so thanks for letting me know( might forget when we get there)
so whatever you charged to your room, did that come off the depost you put down or did you pay cash/get soem waived?
Ye, its best to question any of the weird things that pop up on your bill!
many thanks again for the feedback
just to add incase anyone hasnt mentioned it you can also check out using the TV0 -

Sorry, not sure I understand...but we always just leave a CC on the room and whatever we have legitimately charged to the room is just billed to that card when we check out. Anything that wasn't ours was taken off the bill.
As photome says, you can check-out on the telly as well - much better than going down and standing in a queue, though I suppose if you have a cash deposit to get back maybe that cannot be avoided.
We always ask at the players club the night before we check out what comps (if any) can be applied as well. I don't like check-out day to be any more painful than it has to be.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Ballys question (Ferf)
we have booked a few comped nights at Ballys (did once before and cancelled) in the new jubilee room, looking at youtube seems the best rooms are odd number and high overlooking the paris
can you confirm that Ferf or anyone else,
which tower are they in and how easy to get an upgrade to the jubilee suite
thanks
We stayed in the Jubilee Tower and didn't like it, we have stayed 2 or 3 times in the 'old' tower since as we prefer it...I only say this as I would feel bad not saying and then finding out you felt the same...
It's the tower closest to the strip, the one that has no front-on strip view rooms, either north view or south view. we stayed in that tower years and years ago and had a brilliant view of Paris straight ahead and a good chunk of the Bellagio fountains looking to the right (photo below). I would absolutely get a room on the Paris side to avoid the constant noise from the shopping monstrosity (we didn't on the more recent trip and the music from the shopping monstrosity was one reason we didn't like the Jubilee tower).Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Happy to say I haven't seen any of this...

what type of room at Caesars? Palace Tower or better that's what we would do...I regret that we went back to Bally's for a few trips (though it was always because people were meant to be joining us and we wanted to keep costs down overall) as it seems that impacted our Caesars offers.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
