hi
im sure a few people have advised charging it to your room and im sure most of the hotels get it right but be careful !
My brother and i on our last trip to vegas last june(mgm grand) we chared drinks to our room (was a coke and 1 beer honest) and well when we checked out the $200 depost we put down when we checked in, well we were gonna get something like $35 back:mad:. They thought we (just the 2 of us) had order a cabana thing( i had no clue what the heck that was til i left!) for 3 days in a row and something else as well was charged to our room.
somehow, somewhere weather an honest mistake was made or not it may be worth making sure you write down, rmeeber what you charged to your room.
you can check your bill at anytime on the telly in your room - so you can always check regularly to see if anything odd crops up.
We do sometimes charge meals to our room and it's almost always fine. we did have one time we didn't check the bill on the telly until we were about to check out and there were some mini bar charges that were absolutely not us...that was a faff getting it sorted out when we were on our way out as we had to go down to the desk, etc.
we also once had some wedding thing charged to our room - I don't remember what it was, exactly, but it had wedding in the name of the item, but noticed that and called down and it was taken off straight-away.
Both of the oddities were at Encore, as it happens...never an issue anywhere else.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

if you head out 'the back' (as if walking to the Vdara, past the Jean Philippe patisserie - oh yes! - at the back of the casino), you see the Vdara straight ahead of you (on the other side of a roundabout where taxis drop off). Walk round to the right, towards Vdara and you have 2 options:
1) go down the outside steps to the right of the Vdara (by the dog garden) and you come to the valet entrance underneath the Cosmopolitan. You have to walk in the same way the cars go, but it brings you to the Cosmo lobby.
2) go into the Vdara, keep to the right hand side, and there's a walkway into the back of the Bellagio. It's about a 5min stroll from the front of the Vdara to the Bellagio conservatory.
thank you - I have emailed to myself and my hubby so we can study before our trip.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

That's the same with any hotel, anywhere. Always check the bill very carefully. Especially with weighted mini bars!
The TV function is really useful as well. I take a look shortly before we go to check out, in case I need to call down and have it removed in advance.Egg Loan - [strike]£4921.84[/strike] £0!! :j Barclaycard - £3866.47 Legal + Trade - [strike]£2700.96[/strike] £0!! :j Triton - [strike]£1730.89[/strike] £0!! :j Next - [STRIKE]£776.15[/STRIKE] £126.88 Littlewoods - [strike]£217.16[/strike] £0!! :j Housemate - [strike]£1300[/strike] £0!! :j Capital One - [STRIKE]£1652.51[/STRIKE] £1,081.58 Vanquis - [strike]£2337.75[/strike] £375.58

So confused about the Grand Canyon tours. Wanting to do a quick fly over (about 15 mins or so) but can't seem to find it cheap at all. Reviews say the Skywalk glass walkway is a rip off and not worth it. A lot of reviews say don't bother with West rim, go south instead.... my heads spinning lol
Anybody on here been before and what did you pay and what was included?
I don't want to go all the way to Vegas and miss out on a fantastic opportunity but I'm so far gutted at the prices I have been seeing. I may have grossly underestimated the costs, thinking we would do a quick helicopter flight for around £100 pp.... apparently no where near.
Any advice/recommendations appreciated.
We paid $434.00 for two of us, booking thru Papillon. That's about £150 each.Canyon Connoisseur

We know that there is so much to see from so high up. We also know how to show it to you. Aboard one of our luxury airplanes, you will take off for the scenic grandeur of the Grand Canyon, taking in celebrated views of Lake Mead, Boulder City, and the Hoover Dam along the way. Leave from Las Vegas and then visit Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona. Once in the Canyon you will see the Colorado River snake its way through the length of the Canyon, continuing to carve out its history.
After landing, hop aboard a motorcoach ready to take you on a tour of this impressive National Park. Enjoy two impressive viewpoints allowing you to take in the sights of the Canyon with great photo opportunities. Your tour includes a light buffet meal and tickets to the IMAX Grand Canyon for a historical film about the canyon. At the end of your tour you will return by airplane to the Las Vegas area.

Whenever we charge to room I always keep the 2nd receipt/ask for a copy/take a pic with phone, and cross reference. Mostly always stay MGM and thus charging to room boosts our comps and !!!!!! points :-)0

Sadly, last time we stayed at MLife I wasn't well. We checked in, I went to bed, we checked out two days later when I finally managed to get out of bed again. Not a good way to increase future comps. Can't be helped, I get one episode like this almost every trip. That's why we visit for longer than average.0

have you thought about driving to the south rim and staying overnight, we have done that before and are thinking of doing it again this year (16 years apart)0 -
Ballys question (Ferf)
we have booked a few comped nights at Ballys (did once before and cancelled) in the new jubilee room, looking at youtube seems the best rooms are odd number and high overlooking the paris
can you confirm that Ferf or anyone else,
which tower are they in and how easy to get an upgrade to the jubilee suite
thanks0 -
Out of curiosity, how much would you need to gamble/spend to gain comps/have resort fees waived? Are we talking hundreds or thousands..0

hi
and thanks for the response, I never knew that you could check the bill on the tv, so thanks for letting me know( might forget when we get there)
so whatever you charged to your room, did that come off the depost you put down or did you pay cash/get soem waived?
Ye, its best to question any of the weird things that pop up on your bill!
many thanks again for the feedback0
