hi
I hope i did not put you off going later, as i said i think we went about 7 15 in the evening, and that was just our experince.
For the *first round* the bartender made sure everyone got a drink each first .He made sure our drinks were toped up if we were empty/close to empty, theugh if you want something different im sure you d be able to ask! When we were near the bottom i recall getting a couple of quick drinks, drinking them quickly and right before we reached the bottom can we get a drink each to take off -and he was happy to pour us some!, though i was on the soft drinks( im tee tottal)
I think my brother had 5-6 drinks of the booze and i may have had that in pepsi!
Brats64- some people may call 2 drinks greedy but I,like alot of people call it getting value for money!:D
pebblesmax-I was worried in case my brother got legless! I had a feeling my brother would just ask for the bottle of whatever he wanted! or he d order something like 10 drinks of beer please!!
doodle_bug-wow $2-£1 wow i d have loved that! we first went in 2014 and got£1-$1.61( or there abouts) last year was like £1 $1.49 and this year was £1- $1.425.
seems the *good ol days* of no resort fees and alot of freebies and good prices on hotel rooms are a long time ago0 -

He also plays Lee Greenwood - I’m Proud To Be An American. This was one of the first Bellagio fountains we saw, and he thought it was amazing watching everyone sing their hearts out. God Bless The USA!
As an American, I kind of cringed when they started playing that one as it is a bit OTT - but my in-laws had the same reaction as your husband and thought it was so wonderful how so many sang along and really got into it.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Funny but I would do the opposite to compensate....less shopping, no shows, little eating but stick with feeding the machines! You never know you might win!:rotfl:
Gambling issues.....
us too...glad we're not alone.
we do look at it as buying entertainment and it is a big part of the trip for us. I completely understand why it's not for many.
We booked our first hotel for November, first time we have had an offer for 3 comped nights at Bellagio (we have had 2 offered before, but never 3)...so we're going to pay for the 4th night as the freeplay and resort credit offsets the cost. I love the casino, and the location is great. We stayed there one night many years ago (surprised my husband with a fountain view room when we were staying properly at Bally's) and I felt out of place in the hotel part, unlike Wynn, Encore, Cosmo - but maybe that was a one-off...we'll see. I am quite looking forward to trying what is really a new hotel for us.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Finally packed and checked-in online. Off to the airport at 7.30, where I shall be breakfasting on bacon rolls and red wine in the lounge haha. Off to sleep now, dreaming of scoring my first ever hand pay....zzzz...."Don't sacrifice what you want most for what you want now"

Have a wonderful trip
I'm another one that messed up on the spendsWas so 'sure' it would be what it wasn't and now I'm wishing I took the $1.33. We go on the 24th and still have our San Diego hotel to pay for. Luckily, the Signature was paid for at $1.47. And as for spends
As Brats said, it's hard to find a place to cut back-especially as I don't even gamble, lol! Luckily, I made full use of Groupon and 11 out of the 15 days have meals from there and all our activities. Will have to manage somehow, what else can we do
And as for all this talk of jetlag  It was horrendous in 2013. Almost a month to recover! I'm dreading it this time!
