vanilla8- craps is something i ve tried to understand but no luck and my brother and I were planning to go to the free lessons at NYNY but never managed to get round to it.
we ve played once we put $20 each down and after a roll of the dice i lost, my brother won!
Bobby it took us a couple of lessons to work it out, best to stay on the table after the lesson and play, and it helps to have a bigger bankroll to get out of a rut, as $20 won't go far.0 -
I thought craps was quite simple. Don't most folk just play the 'pass line' then add a bet at the next roll? Then you just hope nobody throws a 7 before they throw the same number as the first throw of the game. It's better to play the same as everyone else on the table so you all want the same outcome, that's when it gets noisy! I quite like it but the doubling up is necessary to help with the odds, and depending on the minimum bet it can get expensive. I used to sometimes play the $1 craps at Casino Royale, and similarly the 25c roulette - but I bet both of those are gone now. Westin used to have happy hour gambling with cheap craps and roulette but I don't know if they still do either.0

Also finding it annoying about the exchange rates, although on that morning of Brexit, husband woke me up to tell me how it was looking at 6am, and I got up and ordered USD from Thomas Cook, along with some Euros for a colleague. We popped into Thomas Cook and got them when they opened, and we were lucky enough to get the decent rate $1.44 for the USD. I got £800 so that was ok. I usually do my shopping on credit card though, so that will be the painful bit unfortunately. I really didn't anticipate us coming out of the EU, so didn't plan ahead on that basis.
I had however bought some groupons already. I also had some USD in my paypal account for some work I had done so I have since used them for travelzoo offers, to save me on the painful exchange rate. We now have several deals ready, between groupon and travelzoo, and also myVegas. We have about $300 in TR points from Social Rewards too, so we really won't be spending much on food and drinks. I do hope the rate comes up a bit though for my shopping. And we still have 10 nights hotel to pay at over $100 per night plus tax. Not much we can do though and it's not going to ruin our trip.0 -
I don't and can't get a credit card so was going to get a pre paid card but can't decide between fairfax or Caxton, any ideas please.x

ok, so we went to vegas last year and we were supposed to be going back in may. unfortunatley i managed to break my ankle quite spectacularly so had to put it back to september. i was hoping to be back to running by then, turns out i was overoptomistic and i may even still be on crutches come septemeber.

San Fran has big hills, and walking between casinos won't be ideal on crutches. I would maybe delay the trip till you are more mobile?
Alternatively see plenty of people with those mobility scooters in vegas? maybe thats an option to hire one?0 -
i have trouble walking but find Las Vegas very friendly. most the hotels hire out mobility scooters at a very reasonable price. its very friendly to get about. automatic doors, lifts etc. i go straight to the bellroom when i get there to hire one. the scooters themselves are very good and last all day on the one charge but you can put the charging lead with you and plug it in anywhere in the casinos. they don't mind at all.0

hi
and thank you for the info regarding norwegian airlines.
a few questions if i may.
in regards Premium- how did you find the service from the streward(ess)?
how did you find the seat width? I, being far from skinny(:D) find the long haul annoying, It seems you had a big foot space but how was the seat width?
would you use norweigan airlines premuim service again compared to other airlines premium services?
and a nice website by the way
kind regards
