Just tried signing in Bobby...mine works fine.
  • No problems for me either on mlife, but since we hardly gamble it is always a waste of time.

Gambling is not what we started going to Vegas for.

We enjoy the shows...love the shopping...and you've got to eat.
So it's a no brainer, gambling is not an important part of our trip, and quite easy to not do it....in the back of my head every time I stick a $20 in a machine this time,I will think about the lousy exchange rate I got....I will still play the slots....but like I say, easy option for us to compensate for the poor rate.

Its also made easier by the fact that on our trip in May we never got a cent out of any machine for the whole trip.:rotfl:

Wish I was more that way but I'm like a moth to lights....they're so bright and flashy...let me put all my hard earned money in you and you give me nothing back...let me try another one that's bigger and shinier...repeat...repeat...

I had a problem, it kept telling me there was a system error but would load fine for my OH. I tried a different browser and it worked. You could try emailing to reset your password.

I read on vegasmessageboard about someone managing to get legless in that half an hour. They let you do shots as well as drinks. She was taken off in a wheelchair.

I remember my first few trips to Vegas, swanning through nothing to declare with Jimmy Choos, iPods , Tiffany engagement ring, a ton of Paul Frank clothes and endless cosmetics and skincare.

Those days are long gone.. :(

    hi

I hope i did not put you off going later, as i said i think we went about 7 15 in the evening, and that was just our experince.

For the *first round* the bartender made sure everyone got a drink each first .He made sure our drinks were toped up if we were empty/close to empty, theugh if you want something different im sure you d be able to ask! When we were near the bottom i recall getting a couple of quick drinks, drinking them quickly and right before we reached the bottom can we get a drink each to take off -and he was happy to pour us some!, though i was on the soft drinks( im tee tottal)
I think my brother had 5-6 drinks of the booze and i may have had that in pepsi!

Brats64- some people may call 2 drinks greedy but I,like alot of people call it getting value for money!:D

pebblesmax-I was worried in case my brother got legless! I had a feeling my brother would just ask for the bottle of whatever he wanted! or he d order something like 10 drinks of beer please!!

doodle_bug-wow $2-£1 wow i d have loved that! we first went in 2014 and got£1-$1.61( or there abouts) last year was like £1 $1.49 and this year was £1- $1.425.
seems the *good ol days* of no resort fees and alot of freebies and good prices on hotel rooms are a long time ago

We gamble very little. OH finds it boring. We only do the bit we do to get the cheap drinks.

We are going for the 2nd time at Christmas and just wondering how the gambling and cheap/free drinks work. We don't really gamble (don't know how :-) ) but we will have a go on the slots this time. Which casino is best for beginners?

    Hi Kit,

First time me a TH went we used to walk round the casino floor looking out for the cocktail waitress, sit down near her and insert 5 dollars into the machine, play 1 cent very slowly till we got served our drink, handover the $1 and withdraw our 4.50 odd money from the machine and move on :rotfl:

Now we play with a higher budget, and also table games, where you normally get better service at places like Bellagio.
You will find drink service varies between casinos and at different times of the day. The quality of the drinks also varies - cosmo do great cocktails :T

[Most casinos do table games lessons and Craps is fun]
