The Dollar is quite worrying to be honest...
I'll look to exchange £3k of my own + £1.7k for the wife into dollars...
was hoping to get a minimum $1.50 , but currently, your looking at $1.40 ...
So I would get say $300 less dollars on my £3k buy if I bought now.... and reading forex news, and as written above, its not looking good :(
But like anything, its a big gamble... hmmmmmmmmmmm ! eyes peeled!

Pretty much in the same boat as you, though i dont have a wife!!(unsure if thats a plus or a con !:p)
My brother and I are looking to take around £2k each and were hoping for around $3000 each, at $1.40 per £1 we d be losing $200 EACH.

Is it worth getting some money now exchanged now with around 20weeks to go?

I hadnt realised the dollar had fallen so low, I always keep an eye on the cheap travel money on the right of this page and it has been at 1.48 for ages, just checked and in reality it is nothing like that, even with a clarity it is only 1.44

    Isnt anyone upating it anymore:(

from bloomberg, cnbc, IG, charts etc etc. i trade forex occasionally. check out the article from bloomberg below:-

The pound is quickly running out of friends. And its biggest enemies see the British currency falling to levels last seen during the reign of Margaret Thatcher.
Deutsche Bank AG last year was already predicting a plunge in 2016 to $1.27, a level that hasn’t been seen since 1985, when the Live Aid charity concert was rocking north-west London and England’s soccer teams were banned from European club competitions.
The world’s second-biggest currency trader’s view has been joined by a growing number of bears this year. ING Bank NV predicts the pound will slide 8 percent to $1.32 by the end of June and Credit Suisse Group AG sees it dropping to $1.40 in three months and $1.33 in a year. Nomura Holdings Inc. is forecasting $1.41 in the middle of 2016, compared with a previous call of $1.52.
Strategists are racing to downgrade their forecasts for a currency that’s being knocked by a litany of woes from the prospect of record-low interest rates being entrenched for longer and a possible exit from the European Union that business leaders say will damage Britain. Analysts’ forecasts for the pound-dollar exchange rate by June have dropped 2 percent in the past month, even as they failed to keep up with its almost 5 percent slide in that period.

MGM resorts going to start charging for parking sometime between April and June this year, up to $10 a night for guests self parking and a higher charge for valet.

Guessing that means the others will have to otherwise their garages will be overflowing

With the resort fees and parking charges comped rooms are becoming costly

Another charge... That's quite depressing :/

Wonder if the charge will be higher still if you're not a guest?

Not much left for them to stick a charge on now is there?

They have to pay for the new parking structures to go with the new arena between Monte Carlo and NYNY. I wonder if they will have validation if you play in the casino or eat at a restaurant like they do Downtown?

I'm getting tired of all these charges.
