    Cheers :)
    Yeah, its 1 ticket (DUB-LAS).....
Handy to know what happens if we miss the virgin flight through no fault of our own....
As the next direct flight is from Heathrow with BA at 12:30 & 16:40

Although, my ticket is booked with Lastminute.com (Bravofly), I heard customer service isn't on there agenda!

Anyway, handy info, as bags go straight through leaves enough time to get my McD's! Why focus on that ? cos 2 years ago, the food super sucked on the VA flight!!! :D

Are there any tricks to getting hotel rooms cheaper in Vegas? Any sites with discount codes etc? I've 'liked' certain hotels on Facebook to make sure I don't miss out on any promotions etc. Any other tips to saving a few quid?

have you looked at www.smartervegas.com ?

i had a look back at my first trip report on here for vegas and i saw we got £1 to $1.67 that was in july 2014

I'm pretty sure we were once in Vegas when it hit $2.11...those were the days.

The lowest I remember was $1.31 but we may be heading for worse unless the BoE puts rates up.

Oh yes those were the days. Our highest was $2.09 around that time but wasn't it great?

  • Hi, I see I have a 25 and 50 gift card for restaurant.com

Are there any restaurants on it worth visiting ?? a quick scan suggests I'd be better off writing it off

I just had an email to exchange a r.com voucher for a restaurant no longer participating and was having a look....nowhere near as many options as there used to be. We did like Origin India when we went a few years ago, always meant to go back but haven't yet. I also appear to have a Stripburger voucher I didn't realise I had, so that's good....except I thought they had stopped accepting them, or maybe I'm making that up.

It's tight - is there an earlier flight from Dublin ?

I'd have your MaccyDs breakfast at Dublin airport if I were you !!!!

Any info on this one would be appreciated..... More importantly, will I make McDonalds Breakfast ?!!!
    Original Flight detail was:
Dublin 7am - Arrive South Terminal Gatwick 8:25am
Fly Virgin at 11:20 to Vegas....

I had an email come through to say the Virgin flight had changed to 10:10am.. Coolio, still around 1hr 40 mins in the airport. Unsure of how the connecting flight works here, and whether my bags will be checked from Dublin to Vegas, or whether I need to collect first ?

Anyway, am logged into the BA/Aer Lingus website for that Dublin flight, and it would appear they have also changed there flight from Dublin, that now leaves at 07:40am !! Arriving at 09:10
That's 1hr before the Virgin flight (both in South Terminal)

    Sooooooooooooooooooo....
A: Anyone done a flight with a 1hr gap between connecting flights in Gatwick/Heathrow ??
B: With that 1hr window, will we make McDonalds Breakfast ?! :D

    **update**
Just checked Virgins website, the 10:10am flight has now changed to 10:30am!!! So I guess 1hr 20 is fine! :D
