From reading about the syndrome I can unfortunately understand the motivation to remove the child. You need an advocate I feel. Xxx

And yes she could work, but has no work history so has found it hard to find work

Do you have any concerns that your child may also have the same syndrome, the evidence suggests there is a 50% chance. Is this another reason why SS are concerned?

I don't know, she is growing at the normal rate at the moment

If the most suitable option is a career break take it, SS should be able to help with the benefit side of things.
I know it took you along time to settle and find employment but unfortunately your situation has changed. You need to go through all possible options face to face with SS.

Can you ask SS what support they are prepared to offer so that you can at least work part time?
