Tiamai welcome home, don't worry we're still here :)

Becca good luck with the giving up, I keep giving up on giving up, serious lack of willpower is my only excuse.

Nicki what a little cutie your DD is, kissing too many boys my Nana would say :rotfl:

Kaz, wonderful photo, lovely children you have. Teenager in a white tshirt that is VERY clean, now that must be your extremely tidy son, shows aswell doesn't it!

    7ww good luck for tomorrow.

Pigpen PIRITON!! Stop scratching!!! My sons living on it the last 2 days, got bitten to bits when playing in the garden.

Had a great day, we weren't going to go but my son got very upset as he wanted to see Helen, they seen her often before she moved to Surrey, became an adopted aunty really and now only see her once or twice a year. Poured down when we first got there, managed to scrambled to where my friend was camping at the show and take shelter under their gazebo, but thankfully got windy after that and blew dry my jeans, stayed nice after that. Didn't spend too much as took food with us, resisted the urge to go for pub lunch aswell, being good aren't I :D . A much needed petrolhead
fix for me as it's ages since I have been to a track day.

I've got anthisan.. I'll live.. I'm just trying so hard to resist.. it has gone from a tiny bite to a red patch about 3inches in diameter and a big weeping blistery centre.. looks most appealing!! I look like a leper!!!

I've got hubby cooking dinner.. I just switched my oven on and it did LOADS of black smoke.. so I put the food inthe other oven and scraped the filth off the bottom and top of the first one and it seems to be ok now.. :D .. so tomorrow when you say 'clean oven' I can honestly say I have scraped the dead chips etc off the bottom and the pizza cheese off the top.. the shelves and door look pretty grim though.. need a sanding pad on those! and NOT with these nails lol..

Best vacuum the front room before the feeding frenzy... School in 2 days!!!! Oh my word I am SO excited!!!

i have really missed the gym, i go everyday, but i cant go at all on holidays. its also a great stress reliever for me so i cant wait to get back to it! oh and the lunch at the local with the girls on fridays, and the peace and quiet if i want 40 winks about 2pm, and the shopping without canihave, iwanna and itsnotfair......

of course i love my children dearly lol but after 6 weeks itll be a happy mum that waves them off on wednesday morning:D

Geesh you guys, I thought I was the only bad mother that danced when the kids go back to schooL! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Honestlly, some mothers will actually stand there by the school and weep!! Saying how fast the holz have gone, and how they will miss their children..

    not me!!

I do love them to death obviously, like we all do. But what a joy school can be! I lived in America for a few years and some of my friends home schooled their children. I never quite got that idea... Have thought about it, but moved out of the States before my kids reached school age so never tried it.
it's just the having people around me ALL the time that drives me insane.

Although now that DH is away the whole weekend and just texted me that he's going to be late as he's still in a meeting (it's a two hour drive home! and he's still gibbering on at 7:30 PM!!) I'm well and truly p....... off!
Thanks a bl**dy LOT! We still have a bike to fix before morning and after I had given it my best shot, realized that I just couldn't do it...
Bet your bum he's coming home, and
1 dumps all the car stuff in the living room
2 dumps his behind on the chair or in bed

    and I'll have to:

1 take the wheely bin out to the road for pick up tomorrow
2 figure something out to enable DD1 to get to school tomorrow

I think I'm going to scream.

Hello lovelies - you make me feel so good, lots of my friends like their kids being home from school - I so want mine back and they all really want to go!

Great thing about spending the summer with you lot is that when they go back I will not need to spend 2 weeks getting the house straight, just stick to my flying.

chicken smells great. Had a good time up the lottie so that is off tomorrow's list and replaced with library and blackberry picking.

Right need to cook the corn.

QUESTION I have made a second apple crumble to freeze - do I cook it first or freeze it raw - thanks

  • Welcome back tia_mai, sanity will return!
Nicki, pretty girl, and I bet the tooth fairy knows her way round your house at the mo!
7WW and others (haven't seen Michelle this weekend?) good luck for tomorrow.
Pigpen, hope the leprosy gets better soon;don't scratch it!!
I've been flea bitten all weekend despite de-fleaing both cats last week and a good vaccuum. It's driving me bonkers but germolene (mmm, love that smell) seems to take the itch out for a bit.

I've chucked the stripping in for now and had a good tidy up. Anybody care to take bets when I'll next bother to do some more toward the redecorating? Cooker is cleaner now than when I normally do it as I dragged it into the room and gave it a good scrub. I've probably done more off the list than last week!

Off to join the new thread.

    Yes, where is Jill?!
