:j I have done some ironing. Set up board in back garden and ironed the basket of kids clothes, plus the pillowcases. Bit windy out there so thought ironing the rest of the bedding plus adult clothes may be difficult - well thats my excuse, DH will be told what is left in the smaller basket is his to do over the weekend;)
. Just gotta put it away now, think I hate that as much as the ironing.
Easy tea tonight, scrambled egg, sausage, beans and toast:D . Kids still playing very nicely, DD1 been an angel all day:A still 2 hours till bedtime!
Phoned the vitamin place I order stuff from for mum back in July, she still has not had it, I know they were posting it to Spain but the post is not usually that bad, the lady is looking into it so guess it will appear daily all next week me chasing them. That way they will get fed up of me and either resend it or give me my money back.
Took receipt of the 2nd scooter I got for £7.50! So with the My Little Pony stuff, scooters, HappyLand extra train set that I have got thats the bulk of the girls stuff sorted for xmas:j . Just the pillowcase pressies from Father Christmas to sort:D . Now all I need to do is loose 3 stone by xmas and I will be sorted - do you think that is do-able?? maybe if I stop baking with the girls and then scoffing it:o .
Right off to break some eggs0 -
Hi everyone, I started of well today and got all dishes done, 3 loads of wahing, livingroom done, kitchen reasonly tidy and then i got side tracked and made plum jar ( first time making jam) and first time tasting plum jam. Yummy.
Then i made scones to go with the jam lol.
Done a few messages in town and collected my boys school uniform for monday ( i'm gonna cry, i know i will).
Still have tones to do. BIL is coming tonight with my laptop ( he took it this time last year to fix and only getting round to bringing it back, he fixed it ages ago but keeps forgeting it.lol)
So going to go and crack on because i know when it's back i'll be laying on the sofa with me cup of tea all night.:rotfl:Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -

Evening all
Hope everyones doing ok. Ive been a bit slow this week. DeniseNZ and Maralum lovely to see you. Hello to those who are joining us.
I still havent done my bedroom since Wednesday
I am at work teaching in the pool tomorrow so will strip my bed and put it to wash while im out and will then clean the bathroom while im in there defrosting after 2hrs in the water.
I have got a huge pan of soup on though at the moment. Every veg i have to eat up is in there from my green box - onions, carrots, tomatoes, courgettes, some green stuff. I have a wok full. I will wait till its a bit more soft and whir it and see what it tastes likethen out comes the seasoning to disguise it. But you cant say ill miss out on my 5 portions of veg!
Anyone got a decent recipie to use up potatoes. I have an absolute load. Im going to do sausage and mash but that wont make a dent. I would like something soup like but have never done a succesful one yet!
So i will stop waffling and see everyone later. Have a good eve and enjoy the me time everyone!

Hi everyone,
I've finished hoovering downstairs, the pasta sauce has defrosted and is in a pan ready to be heated up for dinner - so that's all my chores done for tonight.
And on an even better note I did our finances: For the grocery challenge we came in £56 under budget (which was a ludicrously big budget - but still less than we'd spent previously, I'm going to reduce it more next month); and our joint/housekeeping account is looking the healthiest it's been all year. So I'm a chuffed bunny :T and will be going outside to sit in the sun and have a glass of wine with hubby just as soon as he's finished mowing the lawn.
Aimeelister: I've found the way I like potatoes in soup the best is if I don't blend the soup. I make a veg broth with potatoes, carrots, onion and pearl barley - plus any scraps of chicken if we have them left over. I dice everything small (it's a bit fiddly - but worth it) and then sweat the veggies in some oil with the lid on for 10 minutes, then add stock and cook till the veg are done, but not mushy. Other than that - some sort of potato dauphinoise to use up the potatoes maybe? Potatoes thinly sliced and layered into a dish in the oven then just covered with stock/milk/cream whatever. Cook covered for about 40 minutes - then finish off uncovered for 20 minutes (you could add grated cheese on top at that point). The good thing about that is it freezes quite well.
Jamtart6: I guess the forum is a bit of both (cleaning and organizing). There is a list of suggested tasks for each day - which includes both cleaning and de-cluttering. But as you've probably seen - alot of [strike]nattering [/strike]discussion goes on that includes stuff about organizing ourselves and getting things done. Why not stay around for a bit and see what you think - it's a very friendly place here.
Right, I think I don't hear the sound of the lawn mower - so time to open that wine.
Have a great Friday evening everyone,

mumoftwo you could try www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk for advice, they usually have where to order parts etc aswell.
Maralum sorry missed your post in my panic, nice to see you back with us, look forward to you being back onboard for next week
Shell I've always used AOL, have done for years, what about seeing which ones offer a good deal via quidco or something ? http://www.quidco.com/aol/ AOL do but I think there are others, Pigsback you get points back on some but of course depends how much it works out at in vouchers.
7WW well done, that's a lot under budget!
Aimee you can freeze potatoes aswell. http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=5915068&highlight=potatoes%2Buse%2Bup%2Bmany#post5915068 I love cheesey mash with beans, basically mash with onions and cheese mixed in (some prefer without onions) then either cooked on top of beans or just served with. Nice with some sausages or bacon too. My comfort foodDP knows when I feel down or ill as I make that. Recipe for spud soup http://thefoody.com/soups/potatosoup.html
Well it was the pumps on the central heating system that went pop, times like this I am pleased we rent from LA as would have cost me a fortune. 2 pumps snookered but now replacedbacklog of washing up to do
but water heater just gone on so hopefully will have some soon! Oh and the person who repaired it was someone I knew years ago so was nice having a little catch up at the same time
Flying, erm in between moving furniture, engineer having to rip my wall paper off to get into the pumpstrying to keep DS2 busy as engineer types fixing things fascinate him so he was constantly wanting to bug him! cleaning up after him etc I have done very little, kids room is thankfully not too bad but will need to take a new box for the train sets up when we go upstairs, the one it is in has collapsed.
Oh well tomorrow is another day. Will catch up on washing up once I have hot water then need to make DPs dinner for when he comes in on his break.
Sunday hoping to go to Croft, a friend is going I haven't seen for almost a year who lives down south now so hopefully weather will be nice and we can make a day of it, if the kids behave. Hoping to take the kids to the Wildfowl park on Monday aswell..One day I might be more organised...........

)... there's only the washing up which OH can do
Tomorrow I'll finish off DD's school stuff

Evening all.
Kids all bathed and in clean beds - lovely
Pigpen have the V's gone yet - just looked at the 6 I treated across the 3 of them and they have not improved much after 12 days - going to reapply tomorrow.
No more flying today for me - there is always tomorrow
DH still at work - new job is taking some getting used to for all of us. Kids have gone from Daddy being here all day to going before they get up and returning after they are in bed.
Glass of wine, tea and then a nice foot soak and pedicure for me whilst watching Big Brother as my me time. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
