Should have gone to a puppet show thing this morning but girls didnt want to go (the last one was a clown show and it was rubbish), they are playing with Happyland so will NOT be selling it now. Am thinking of buying more bits to add to it:D so much for my cashing in by flogging it at xmas on ebay.
DD1 had yet another episode yesterday, over an hour of rage. I set the camcorder up this time so DH can see what she is like. He thought it was a good idea and that if it should continue once she is at school/her cast comes off at least we have evidence to show to doctor. Health visitors here are rubbish. I phoned them once about a feeding issue with DD2, they phoned me back over a week later:eek: .
Am trying to catch up on all the jobs as its my weekend off this week so we want to spend time together, planning on a trip to felixstow on Sunday.
Right WM now finished, so will put kettle on, peg out and then make a brew!0 -
Just made some tomato soup which is in the AGA and a bake in the box try me free which I was very dubious about but it is absolutely delicious - had 2 pieces warm yum yum.
Putting washing on the line.
Writing shopping list - if I pop to the corner shop to get sausages i can put off going to town until tomorrow and then can shop in peace and go into John Lewis at the same time! The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Hello there all!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry it's been such a long time, the summer holidays are a pain in the behind. I can't seem to get anything done. All I do is bum about, play games and chatter. Lots of fun for the boy and I, but the house is very sad
.
My mum's coming to get Owen this weekend, so I should be able to sort a few things out while he's away. Bless her, she misses him so much, I know that she wants us to move closer, but we just can't afford it at the minute.
The little girl is doing well. She's gorgeous and has just started giggling. She looks very surprised when she does it, but it's very cute :j . What with playing, baby clinics etc, I just don't get anything done any more. As soon as Owen goes back to school though, I'm back on my lists every day. I can't hack it with the house in a state nowadays, it gives me the heebies just looking at it.
On the plus side, I've done some of my christmas shopping already (the kids don't mind shopping, so long as we pop to a couple of toy shops on the way!!!)
Right, the wee one's awake again, so I'll have to go. Hope to pop in soon and say hi. Missing all the chat and goss, can't wait until I'm back in the swing of things. x0 -
hello everyone
My house is a mess, my oven is broken, my mood is stinking, my sister is not home for a chat, my diet is not working, my shopping not yet unpacked....
and I have come on here to read all your lovely threads for some inspiration and a laugh and some cooing over a hedgehog... ahhhhhh!!
last night in the middle of cooking my huge shepherds pie in the oven, all the electricity in the house went off and when I flipped the switch, I discovered after about 20 minutes that my oven wasn't working anymore and my shepherds pie was still cold... had to put it into a smaller dish to heat up in the microwave.. Oh well, I can drag kids and OH around tomorrow in search of a new ovenAre these things easy to replace yourself? Mine is seperate from the cooking plate.. Is it a case of slot one out and slot another one in? Or do you need an electrician?
Lakeland order came yesterday including my shortbread mould and traybake, will have to wait to use it now until I have an oven again..
someone give me some ooomph to get stuck in.. I hate going into the weekend when the whole house is a mess. Going to aquafit this afternoon to escape this house..0 -
rach- I fainted after giving blood once and was advised to drink the squash afterwards as a cool drink is better than a tea/coffee. Take care.
maralum- how lovely to 'hear' from you! Glad you are all well.
mumoftwo- sorry you are having such a rubbish day so far, hope it improves this afternoon. Big hugs for you....it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

had my meeting and collected the car - is the kettle still on?
spoke to my sis who advised me not to give blood and then drive for ages so i am going next week instead. i am quite comfortable doing it so figure i may as well as some people are not able to do it. my meeting was really helpful and helped me to get the next 4 months of work into perspective as to what i should and shouldn't be doing.
collected the car, £99.40 all in which included 2 new tyres so not bad. it is going in next week for a service to an independent VW specialist. more expensive, but the guy fixed a major problem before for me and so i think its worth it as my car can be very glitchy. thankfully i've done a lot of work miles this month so when i do expenses should be ok to cover it!
right, off to get mileage book out of car, will do expenses and then the try my list after lunch. WM has been on already and stuff hanging up to dry. OH leaving work early so i plan to leave around 3 to get there when he's in from work. oooh, that's not long at all, better shift my buttMum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
