    Afternoon all

Lost my post this morning so starting again.

    Dizzy glad you are ok

Lots of you are having days at home which I hope are restful.

Been to town with a friend for free JL cuppa and scone. Brought my christmas cards, couple more stocking fillers and a few hard back books (20p in oxfam book store) to top up presents.

Walked home, so windy! WM2 just finished and will go on the maiden as no hope of it staying on the line.

Lunch, hoovering and and propping up hurdle fence next. Was going to do outdoor lights but it maybe too windy.

Aww. We've been making baubles. Bought some cheap photo bauble things from home bargains - but instead of putting photos in the kids are decorating the card shapes (these are stars) with sequins and xmas stickers and putting those inside instead. Voila teacher gifts! We are making extra for our own tree as they look so nice!

Lady has not come to collect the toy she wanted to buy - I don't blame her but she could have messaged me. No manners.

Watching Polar Express now and ET later :)

We love Polar Express Bossy; bit of a tradition here in the day or 2 before Christmas! Those baubles are great, really imaginative.

Seems like it's really windy everywhere. We're off to S's school christmas fair shortly but having a cuppa beforehand.

Done lots here and thought I'd crack on with the tip under the stairs and now it looks soooo much better! I was good and checked with J before slinging stuff I didn't think we needed - he let a few things go but other bits he 'has a use for'. Hmmmm. He's also gone through his shoes with a view to letting go a couple of pairs; even if they only go for recycling as not good to pass on that's fine. Why does someone need 6 pairs of black shoes that never get worn? Baby steps, baby steps ...... ;o)

Mumof2 very well done on having "the talk". You're a brave lady, I know that must've been so difficult to do, and here's hoping he takes in what you've said and things start improving for you.

I've just been out with Dotty - we nearly got blown away! Little madam keeps trying to chase after leaves; I think she got a good bit of exercise though, running back and forth on her flexi-lead.

I need her to be a good girl this evening as we shall be out for a couple of hours; it's Mr LW's birthday, so we're going for a meal at our usual pub/restaurant. Tbh, I'd far sooner not go, but it's his birthday so he gets to choose, and I shall put my big girl knickers and a smile on.;)
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Mumof2- well done on 'the talk'. Let's hope things improve now.
Happy birthday to mrLW! Hope you both have a lovely night.

We had a lovely night out last night. Didn't get to bed until 2am so feeling a little pooped today. Although we did sleep in until 10am this morning! Unheard of for us but kiddies were at nanny's and we obviously needed it. This morning we picked kiddies up, bought paint and came home to clear up and put the decs up! Loving the tree up! It's strange being in a new house and having to find new home homes for everything. We have lots of window sills and a mantle piece so can now house lots of Christmas ornaments. May have to buy some new ones!

Tonight, I am going to do some cards and some wrapping.

The elf set the breakfast table at nanny's and spilt cornflakes over the table! I think nanny quite enjoyed her visitor. We are having craft items tomorrow too!

Tom orrow we are at church, then need to run a few errands. Including the weekly shopping! Then we are hoping To make a start in decorating the nursery. We will see how far we get!

    Left to do...
    Write a few cards
    Wrap a few pressies
Clear the nursery ready for painting
    Take up the nursery carpet
Masking tape ready for wall painting
    Fill the cracks in playroom
Masking tape skirting board in the playroom ready for painting.

I've had my nephew here for the afternoon, making his Christmas presents, so the dining room is covered in paint and stickers and I'm shattered...

He went to see santa on the way here, told him what he wanted for Christmas, Daddy confirmed he'd been good... and then he told Santa to tell the reindeers off for pooing on granny's living room carpet last year :D (My brother had to clarify... but santa agreed that it was very naughty and has promised to tell them to poo outside this year :D) (although the kids said the reindeer poo smelt of carrots, I thought they were remarkably like chocolate coffee beans ;))

    Evening all

    Happy birthday Mr LW!

I have spent most of today sorting our BR out. The floor is now looking fairly clear but I can't see the bed!

Hope everyone's having a good day

LW - well done for the big girls knickers and hope you have a lovely meal and evening. Happy Birthday Mr LW!!

Greenbee how old is your nephew? He sounds lovely and how funny about the reindeer poo.

Frizzlef bet you'll sleep well tonight after such a late night last night. Your elf story made me smile; I love hearing about them

Survived the fair but found all the people a bit much as I don't do great in crowds. It was nice to be home again. Kids are decorating the tree - I let them do it themselves and they're loving it though we have to be on hand to keep the peace sometimes as they can be quite competitive. Hoping to finish the last of our present ordering tonight and next week will make a start on wrapping; determined not to leave it til the last minute like I normally do.

Big shop done, 7things posted, and a 90th birthday attended
Annoyed by post office got there at 11.45 postman was rushing me, I put first parcel on scales and said I wanted proof of posting he said how many pRcels did I have as he could see I had a bag. I got them all out, then he said if I didn't want proof of posting delivery man would take them now if not they'd wait till Monday. I said I wanted it. He then passed me stickers through to put on them and said they were all small parcels and aske me for postcodes, he scribbled them on the receipt for the first one then said two were large letters and told me what I owed him. I said you haven't weighed them he said its Christmas mail they are small parcels just give them to the postman. I'm now worried my various secret Santa will arrive with excess postage to pay. So if that happens to either the book I promised to send to was less a while back or my secret Santa from in here please pay it but let me know and send me the receipt - I will be putting in a complaint if any of these parcels get excess added.
Rant over. I should have just had my parcels back and left but I needed yo get them in the post nips I can't get down in the week.
