Oh dear, hope your little ones get better soon Mummyroysof3 and Bossymoo.
I don't think I suffer from Christmas OCD as looking at the tree and the rather scatter gun approach the children have used on it it's fine! Our tree is 17 years old from our very first Christmas together and it makes me smile when I see it's out again - daft isn't it.
Mrs MP can't believe that about the Post Office - really bad
Dusty you're very brave having so many people over around Christmas time; I don't like a house full so if we ever get invaded J is very good and takes over.
Just waiting for Mr M delivery; should be here between 8 and 9 this morning. Unloaded the DW and got a load of darks in the WM. J still asleep and I'll take up a cup of tea for him after Mr M delivery as he's very tired from working long hours. Last night I told J I actually feel closer to him after our talk and it's true - he smiled and hugged me close. I have a feeling things are going to be OK - really hope so.Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -

Hope there isn't too much more sickness.
Just laying in bed having a cuppa after sorting out the dogs and chickens, having been woken by the Flood Agency calling to advise another river warning *sigh*
Actually, I didn't sleep very well as DH was away at his work Christmas do. He called at 1.30am, very merry, saying no taxis for at least an hour and could he stay round Chris' house. I felt like his mum giving him permission :rotfl:
Yesterday saw me exercise my plumbing skills as I had to disconnect the dishwasher that has decided to start leaking. Don't know why it upset me, after all this was clean water...0 -

Morning! DS seems ok although not demanding food yet which is unheard of!
They loved the merry sockmas treethey have unpegged all the socks and replaced with ornaments, we have a few new ones and some chocs too so they enjoyed that.
I've got a bashed in fence panel to attend toI'm assuming it was the wind although I awoke at 5am to lots of yelling next door - they were out in the front by the sounds of it. Mother and 21yr old son screeching at each other. Used to be such a nice street until they came
Aww, they are doing letters to Santa on a xmas wii game that we have. DS wants 7 electric trains and 9 remote control cars  and DD just wants a xmas dress and to meet santa in some real snow :A I told DS he better not ask for that as santa will think he's a spoilt brat and not bring anything!
Ready for another coffee, mummyroys? We'll keep nescafein business today, mysu and I :rotfl:Bossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0 -
Morning flyladies. Sorry that I didn't pop in yesterday but it took ALL day to sort the LR and get the Christmas tree up. DD has done a brilliant job, the LR hasn't been this clean since last Christmas, and I think it all took so long as I wasn't much use and we kept stopping to share stories of when we made/bought this/that decoration so it was all really lovely.
LW - hope you had a lovely dinner last night.
CY - hope that DD has a kettle yesterday!
MummyR and Bossy - hope the littlies are feeling better today.
Mumof2- glad that things are back on track for you.
DizzyImp - sorry to hear of all the flooding, just been watching it on telly and looks awful.
So to today. I had a lie in and I've since had breakfast, fed the dogs and done 35 minutes jogging (indoors) as I'm now feeling much better.
Our fence is down too Bossy, so keeping the dogs in the garden is fun at the moment. The wind finally seems to have died down now.
My plans then:
Wash up the breakfast dishes
Bath
Walk dogs
Repair curtain pole in BR
Hoover/sweep/mop through house
Other dailies
and then see what energy I've got left. Really need to get out in garden and harvest leeks and celery and make soup before they're no good.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Dizzy Imp just sending you a hug as you've got so much on your plate; I don't know where you live but here in Bristol it's just starting raining again - hope you escape it. Also hope your little chicken is OK x
Bossy what a shame you have noisy neighbours especially as it was quiet until they came. Let's hope it all settles down.
Shopping all put away now, J had cup of tea and is now reading in bed .... lucky for some! I need to start some ironing as J will need some shirts to take back to Basingstoke, hang up the next lot when WM done, get S started with thinking about his Christmas cards for his friends and sit with him whilst he does his homework. First thing though is to get the beef into the SC for tea tonight; I love casserole!Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0
