Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week or getting motivated when it comes to housework then come and join us.

Thank you Natty for last week's thread

Every room comes back around next week so please don’t stress about catching up

These lists are only suggestions and not a must do list; you are more than welcome to post and follow your own lists.

Also adding a declutter mission each day will help to gradually clear the clutter and make flying easier.

A few of the basics before we start the week

Hotspots are areas where if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!

Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc.

Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.

Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a bin bag and whiz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.

Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis

HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!

Some of our abbreviations: DH- dear husband, OH- other half, KH/CF- affectionate term for ex husband or partner ;) DS/DD- dear son/daughter, DGC- dear grandchild, WM- washing machine, DW- dishwasher, LR/DR- living/dining room, RoD- room of doom, Mr S/A/T/M/L/Al- supermarkets Sainsburys, Asda, Tesco, Morrisons, Lidl, Aldi. You get the picture!

    Thank for the lists Bossy

Pigpen - Love the wallpaper :D

CY - Good luck at the hospital tomorrow

I'm in this week. DD goes away Friday night until Sunday and I want the weekend off again ;) I've found some jobs which need to be rolled over from previous weeks as well as a few of my own so I'm going to add them in here then go and hopefully get some of the list cleared while I wait for the WM & TD to finish. That'll leave me with just dog stuff & cleaning cloths to be done tomorrow which will mean no piles of stuff in the livingroom in theory.

    This week:
    - Update finances (remember work expenses, cheque for school, Christmas stuff already purchased)
    - Juggle budget (after bills paid on 1st)
    - Slice black pudding and freeze
    - Sort Christmas to buy lists properly
    - Read instructions for new boiler
    - Read instructions for CM alarm and put it up in right place
    - Buy curtain pole for kitchen & put up
    - Get DD packed Wednesday night, with list of what to pack Friday (she'll be too tired Thursday)
    - Collect DD Thursday evening
    - Nag DD re essay.
    - Get DD packed and ready to leave by 4.30pm on Friday (even if Ex isn't coming until 5pm, we'll no doubt need the buffer!)
    - Shredding
    - Print bin collection dates & put on calender in diary
    - Errands Thursday (town, wilko, bm, hb, pah?)
    - Paint window (only during daylight hours so plenty of time to fly while its dark ;))
    - Keep on top of fly lists, minus extras unless required.

    Work:
    - Sort returns
    - Pay bill
    - Collect books from school/outstanding
    - Sort orders & put onto system
    - Submit order 9.45pm Tuesday
    - Check order info Friday

    Monday: Kosy Kitchen
    Level 1

Clear your work tops and give them a wipe
Clear your floors and give them a mop!
    Level 2

    Wipe out the fridge
    Level 3
    Clean a window
Clean your hob - and your oven too if you get carried away

Right, I'm off to wash some dishes, and clean out the fridge since it's bin day tomorrow. Then I'll hopefully get the last of the shredding done and be able to bin that as well ;)
