Thanks for lists, much appreciated even if I do end up doing my own thing.
    So far today:
    - been to gym class
    - filled car up with diesel ready for the week. Somehow a C0st* ended up in my hand from the garage.....
    - checked and emailed a report
    - decluttered in excess of 1600 emails from the account I use for doing surveys. It's been such a busy and odd year I haven't actually done any since about April!!

    Essential today:
    finish letter to Indian boy
    check Xmas pudding ingredients
    email pay claim(s)
    check tomorrow's students
get a good way through at least one more report

Lots of other things are very much needed, but those are hide-in-a-dark-room-and-howl-in-despair tasks.

It was so windy yesterday that all the sunflower hearts from the newly filled feeder outside my study have been scattered all over the conservatory roof, one at a time. And probably blocking the gutter by now. Still wild today.

I'm in. Thank you for the lists. X

    2xwm done

Ds2 was having a meltdown about his new coat this morning. Apparently it hurts his elbow. This wasn't mentioned 10 mins earlier when I asked if it was ok before taking the tag off and writing his name in it. He got on the bus finally.

Santa special train was a little traumatic. All was well until the family we were sharing the compartment with arrived with large sausage rolls, bacon rolls and other food. Ds2 wanted to get off but the train had left the station it was a very long 1.5 hours. He announced he never wants to go on it again.

I have been to post some more fleabay parcels and popped in to best friends for a quick cuppa.

I'm waiting for Miss Muddy Paws to wake up so in can change the boy's bed.

    Essential today:
[STRIKE]finish letter to Indian boy[/STRIKE]I wouldn't say finished, but run out of inspiration. Maybe Mr N will think of something when he gets home
    [STRIKE]check Xmas pudding ingredients[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]email pay claim[/STRIKE](s)Done the easy one; the other is less vital if I run out of time
check tomorrow's students Waiting to hear back from one
get a good way through at least one more report Reasonable

I remembered the other thing I wanted to do: check what I need to make the Xmas wreath for my mum (which somehow has to be done around work, the Xmas pud and before thurs). Hm, one critical item I can't find - the framework to put the moss on. Sure I got some new ones last year. Garage is like the room of doom after a hurricane. Do I look later; buy more tomorrow (which fortunately is Flower Club and they have a sales table) or abandon it. The latter is not really a consideration as I've already bought the moss. Gah.

Oh well, keep on with the report which at least means something will be done in the next hour or so.

    CY hope hosp ok.

    Hugs mumof2 x

    More presents packed for posting.
    Ds2's bed changed
  • Hugs to mumof2.

I am back from the hospital with good results. They are happy with the scan results (about as good as I could've hoped for ) - and the plan is a scan in 3 months time.

Managed to go out for lunch before the horse piddle, although we had to change the venue as our original choice couldn't offer food until 1.30. We were in for 12, so not ideal.

It might just be stopping raining...

How will you feel about having him at home all the time when he retires LW? I always think it must be strange and take a bit of adjusting to, no matter how much you love them.

LW, I hope you're feeling a bit better today. If MrLW is anything like my DH, you will enjoy having him at home for most of the time, but be only too eager to encourage him to go out regularly for some "Me" time, to give you a break :rotfl:
I had a good dose of him being around all the time when he was out of work for 11 months; that was late 2002 into 2003; so it won't be too much shock to the system. I can't wait, to be honest. I get desperately lonely, which probably sounds weird considering how terrified I am of people; but see, it's that fear that stops me making any friends IRL.

    Mumof2 (((HUGS))) mate.

CY glad you've got the horse-piddle out of the way, and that you got good results.

Flying is definitely going to be on an ad hoc basis for the next month. Jasper went home this morning - bless him, he didn't want to leave - I have tomorrow alone, and then from Wednesday I have wall-to-wall dogs right up to 7th January.:T At least having all those bookings means I can't contemplate doing anything "drastic" iyswim til then.;) Because I can't let the dogs down.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
