    Morning all.

I have an unexpected childfree day. DD is stuck with Ex & his wife at his parents place in Barrow due to flooding on the A590. They left at 7pm, but had to turn back at 8pm when the road was blocked. News this morning was it was re-opening at midday, thats now been revised to 6pm  I've got various searches open on twitt3r following what's happening. I've told ex there's no rush for DD to get home, and don't risk travelling until they're officially given the all clear to travel. They were very very lucky to be able to turn back and get to his parents. I've read of a few people who haven't been quite so lucky and have spent the night stuck in their cars.

Plan for today is to get on with my window. I've got 1 of 4 pictures outlined, now I need to get on with the others. Its going to be a long day.

Since I last posted, I have had my bath, put away yesterday's washing and put another load in the machine, repaired the curtain rail and wrapped the final of four parcels which I now need to take to the post office.

Just having a sit down for a few minutes and then I'll walk the dogs.

Morning all-well-well afternoon I'm late in.
Ds2room has been blitzed, his bed broke so Dh mended it and we used the excuse to cull loads of stuff, I binned the junk and left a box for him to sort. 90% of that he said could go so I've got another CS bag filling up for next week two bags of rubbish out and a couple of bin bags out. Can't believe he had that much rubbish!
All dry washing has been sorted and non ironing taken up and socks paired, Dh unblocked the kitchen sink and I've written another stack of cards.
Dinner is on veggie sausages, mash, roast parsnips and broccoli followed by YS rhubarb pie.
Dd2 partner and DGS are round now so I'm going to do food then hopefully iron while we All watch a film And maybe get the sewing machine out. Dd1 needs jeans taking in stocking needs lining and putting together
Really windy here but so far only drizzle so still managing to get washing dry outside.

    Have a good afternoon all

Dogs are walked, recycling is sorted ready to go out tomorrow and I'm having another sit down before tackling the hoovering/sweeping/mopping through.

Wind and rain drying up here, so I'm about to get dressed :o and DS too, and we are heading into the garden - operation fix-up!

They've had dinner and I've had toast - bit queasy.

Our tree looks nice but I will tweak it later haha. I have a day off tomorrow, a deadline to meet but just waiting on someone sending me some stuff, and need to print my travel docs that I've mislaid (along with the power cord for my brand new works laptop )

  • Hi all

I am sitting here staring into space. I suppose I should get DH to go in the loft and get the tree down but I dont feel any great urge to do it. Oh, DS2 has just come in to ask me when we are putting the tree up!

Have put some washing out, hopefully it is drying. Dog walked, apple pie made for tea, meatballs in the slow cooker. Really cant be bothered. Might go and wrap a few pressies!

Tried to walk the dog - got down to the field, threw the ball and he got it a few times and then I saw him suddenly limp and sure enough he's re-done his dew claw so bleeding again <sigh>. Back, washed it with warm water just to shift the mud and then gently bathed it with salt water and now bandaged it. Really *issed off as was looking forward to Agility tomorrow and I love our walks but he'll be out of action a few days again now. Poor little guy.

Need it iron but not feeling the ironing urge right now, going to have a cuppa and maybe make a start on a little typing job I've got in. S just about to watch Star Wars (again), he loves those films.
