Hi all,
Managed to get a bit more sleep, woke feeling rather blurry but a hot shower and strong coffee sorted me out. Popped to good butchers in market - huge gammon, which they've chopped for me so half to go in slow cooker and half to freeze, I'll cook that one for xmas eve. Also got a rather lovely looking joint of beef so we are fully meat-ed here.
Also got a few bits from Mr A, but they had no school tights in DD size except red ones. Doh. In grey black or navy they only had 3-4 or 9-10 and above. She's gone in trousers today and not overly impressed :rotfl:
So I've put my shopping away, washed DS duvet - now in airing cupboard. He might have to sleep in granny's bed tonight, I'm sure it won't dry in time.
I've also finished my profile form for work, so pleased with that. We have a "clinic" on Tuesday so I'll get input and advice then send it to HR next week :T then it's all out of my hands!
I'm updating the OS on my laptop too. Hoping windows 10 is better than 8!!!
Rewarding myself with a short browse through the Mr A magazine, then I shall get cracking again...Bossymoo

Hi everyone
Paid stuff out of the way. Part of my job involves dealing with people who are bereaved and I had quite a sad case this morning. Need to stop thinking about it, I have done what I can.
Washing in, dog walked, have promised the family burgers and chips for tea so thats easy. Going to have a brew then whiz round with the duster and hoover.0 -
Last night at 8pm when DD took herself to bed as she was exhausted from ice skating, she said "I'm all packed, I just need my toothbrush and phone charger". This morning I asked her to check for dirty washing in her room and as she walking in the kitchen with some she announces at the top of her panic stricken voice "pyjamas!!!!! I didn't pack pyjamas!!" :rotfl: I knew she'd forget something :rotfl: This is why I double check. She's been packing for herself since she was about 7 (she's now 14!) and prior to that she'd help/watch me pack yet she still forgets stuff:rotfl: She's asked that she takes the pjs she's just put in the wash so they'll be in the next load to go in.
I have 4 columns - Wolfy's clothes, Mr LW'sclothes, (both self explanatory), Shared and toiletries - eg hankies, flannels, make-up, meds etc, and "other stuff" - maps, paperwork, passports, electronic gadgets, chargers etc.
Maybe something like that would help her be more organised another time? I certainly find it invaluable.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Been quite productive:
Hoovered upstairs including behind the CoDs and bookcase in our room
Made 2 cakes
Washing on and off the line
Cleaned kitchen sink
Dealt with the first few bits on my desk
Updated pc to W10 - hope I don't regret that
Jacket spuds in the aga
Thinking about moving my desk and all the paperwork/governors stuff into the spare bedroom to clear the DR. Trouble is will it be inconvenient to go up there and use the computer - probably yes.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
I created a "packing template" on a spreadsheet that I just copy and customise for the particular holiday/break.

I used to have one for when all 3 of us travelled (before ex moved out)...I think I may have to investigate my files or get one typed up on the computer ready to print as needed. Actually, that's give me an idea...I could print one out with some extra space on it, laminate it and then it can be added to, and edited without constantly printing it. If I keep it in my household folder then I'll know where it is! Yay, organising project:rotfl:
Well I shifted myself and my list is a lot smaller now as a resultIf its gone its done.

I'd do the oven and bathroom but I've run out of clean cleaning cloths :rotfl: Oh well, time for tea and TV while the last few loads go through the drier. Then I'll do the ironing and go for a bath, which is why I'm leaving the dirty laundry as is, I can get it all finished tomorrow:wave:
