I'm wide awake. Gah. Head full of "stuff".
I'm wide awake too: have been coughing and tossing and turning all night, then DH had set his alarm for 05.15 - but guess who went down to make a cuppa for us both and switch on the DW which he had forgotten yesterday evening? He is still in bed, reading :mad:DH's star of a mate Chris has just left, and thanks to him being a top-class electrician, we have power to all hip-height and above sockets, lights and heating. He is just the most wonderful man.... have plumped for a static caravan on our land so we can be close to school and on hand for renovations.....Hettie the hen... seems to have recovered from her earlier mauling and even laid an egg in the towel while I had her wrapped up all snug. Bless her x
You and your family sound very resilient, Dizzy - I'm sure you will cope with everything with the help of your good friends and good insurance - and ending up with a house renovated to your specifications will be a real bonus.
(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round. Hope everyone has a good day x0 -
Morning all
Dizzy glad things are working out and stuff is getting sorted for you, pleased hetty is ok and not fazed by whet is going on.
Bossy do what is right for you and your little ones, volunteering etc is all very admirable but there are times when you need to just use your time for yourself. I hope everything works well for the future. By clearing your time of all the volunteering you may find you have created. Space for the right paid op purity to come along and fill it.
I'm full time now till Christmas so flying time very limited, I did put the tree decorations on last night (tree has been bare since I put it up) and I wrapped some secret Santa stuff ready to post at the weekend.
Planning to do the main non Perishable food shop at the weekend so will tidy cupboards and do lists tonight.
Wind was hideous last night haven't looked out yet but heard bin bags scuttering down the road so guessing it's a mess out there.
Have a good day allSPC~12 ot 124

Morning all
I'm on a roll. Both beds are stripped, first wash load of many is in the machine as there's lots of jeans/hoodies and the bedding to wash so what should be one load of dark stuff has ended up being 4 and the lights are 2 instead of 1. I've also flung some old uniform of DD's I'm donating in to be washed as they've been shoved in a box for over a year.
Last night at 8pm when DD took herself to bed as she was exhausted from ice skating, she said "I'm all packed, I just need my toothbrush and phone charger". This morning I asked her to check for dirty washing in her room and as she walking in the kitchen with some she announces at the top of her panic stricken voice "pyjamas!!!!! I didn't pack pyjamas!!" :rotfl: I knew she'd forget something :rotfl: This is why I double check. She's been packing for herself since she was about 7 (she's now 14!) and prior to that she'd help/watch me pack yet she still forgets stuff:rotfl: She's asked that she takes the pjs she's just put in the wash so they'll be in the next load to go in.
Plan for between now and 9am is to get the Christmas budget & bank accounts up to date after yesterday shopping trip, juggle the washing around and then I'll start on the cleaning. I still need to go to Mr A but from my experience if I go before 10am you have to use a self-service till and I hate them. Right, 20minutes of finances and email starting now! :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
