Morning all; thanks again for your support, thoughts and hugs. I'm feeling more peaceful now about what we can do to work out our situation.

    Busy day today:
    School run
    Cleaning/washing etc
    Internet banking
    Stuff to tip
Whiz to Agility but need to try to walk him first to blow off some steam!
    Fetch Z from Samba Club
Take Z back into school 90 minutes later for meeting re forthcoming Holland trip
    Take Z to Scouts
    Typing job

Got my second cup of tea which I hope will kickstart me as awake at 5 again. See you later x

    Morning all

KazW sounds like you need a rest hun, get well soon wishes for you.

Mumto2 strength and calm for you, been there many a time with DH so feel your stress. Where are you in your cycle? I often feel like throughing the towel in during certain times of the month (more tricky to predict now at my age).

DH taken to the station, OS for the next week or so

Uni football kit in WM (well first half)

Washing up done and DW emptied.

Making a quick cuppa then shower and yoga for me. When I get back my aim is to find the DR rable and not by shifting everything to the floor oh and go to the post office. Cricket tonight from 5ish.

    Have a good day all.

    Morning all.

(((Hugs))) to Mumof2 - you've got through the worst in that you have managed to make a decision and know your options. It's good that you have your parents' support, and the time it took to write the letter will not have been wasted - even if you never show it to J - in that it will have helped you to get your thoughts in order before talking to him. Supportive vibes coming your way.

Pigpen, I hope you're feeling better this morning. And GWS Kazwookie.

    Glad you've got company, LW.

I managed to complete most of my list yesterday. DH was very helpful and cleared all the leaves from the back lawn and decking, so we have a green lawn again, and I am pleased that at long last our front garden welcomes visitors rather than expecting them to negotiate an assault course before they reach the front door :)

I have just printed off another 10 copies of our family news to put in with the last few cards and realised that I have added an extra year to DGS3's age. However, I am *not* going to open all the cards again to change it, so he will just not be able to have a birthday in 2016 :rotfl:

    Here's my list for today:
    - Finish writing the cards - though I might leave the German ones to do on the train tomorrow
    - Pack parcel for my SiL
    - Sort baby things
    - DH to take cards to PO, baby things to CS and bags of leaves to the tip
    - Clean through the house (DH :A has already said he will do the hoovering when he gets back)
    - Turn up my new jeans
    - Clean shoes
    - Iron a shirt
    - Update my phone
    - Charge camera
    - Deal with emails as necessary
    - Reset CH
    - Packing

I'm sure there will be a few more bits to add to the list as the day progresses!

(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, as needed. Catch up later x

    Mumof2 - Huge hugs.

    Kaz- get well soon

Anyone who I've missed can help themselves to hugs, spoons, stick and applicable vibes :D

Just paid my Ar90s card off I think. Before I could grab the authorisation code it reset the page to "service unavailable". I start getting charged interest on the 9th so I won't be happy if it hasn't gone through  I'm off to collect some bits I've ordered from there today so DD's main gift is done, some bits for the 4 little ones (and I'll keep calling them that until their ages are in double figures :rotfl:), the curtain rail for the kitchen, a new alarm clock for me as mine no longer beeps or holds it volume, and a window vacuum (was on offer) which will mainly be used in DD's room & the bathroom as I'm sick of waterfalls on the windows. ;) That little lot came in at just over £100 so I've got 6 months on 0% to pay it as well rather than 3 or getting charged interest through my bank etc ;)

Finances have been updated with the different dates for incomes due to bank holidays, and I've added in the Ar90s payments into the budget for next year. I've printed out a calender to cross off the days that I'm putting money away for Christmas 2016 (yes I've started already, on DD's Aunties birthday so its a clear date and I'll have approximately £600 for next Christmas if I can keep it up. DD is away for Christmas next year so we'll in theory be having it early again so I'll be doing party food etc instead of Christmas dinner ;)) and paid that through to Sunday as its cash so I won't miss it. Also printed out the bin schedule for 2016, we'll probably get a sticker one soon but I'd rather leave that on the bin this year rather than sticking it in my diary.

Portable charger is getting a boost charge until I'm going out as I'll probably be needing it today, now I'm going to go for a quick shower and get out to the shops as the forecast is dry until 2pm in theory and I want to get all the long walk from the bus stop to the shop errands done before then :rotfl: DD is out on a school trip, but will no doubt be hungry despite eating out when she gets in around 7pm onwards (after I've collected her) so I'll do a tea in the slowcooker about 3ish. If it doesn't get eaten it'll do me for lunch & tea tomorrow ;)

Right, best get moving or I'll still be here at midday!

I started yesterday so yes, it could be partly PMT - hormones are dreadful things aren't they. I definitely feel calmer now but part of that is upping my meds by 25%; can feel it kicking in as it makes my lip go all tingly until my body gets used to the extra drugs!!

You're right in that it helped to clear my head putting things down on paper and I found it very therapeutic. I'm not intending to show the letter to J but I know what is wrong and what needs to be fixed and I believe that's half the battle. I am actually a big believer in thinking things through before leaping in and am very glad I didn't do what the emotional side of my head was telling me to do - ie email it to him. I'm glad the logical side kicked in as believe an ultimatum would not have been the right thing to do.

Hello everyone - sorry I've been MIA but we did get flooded on Monday evening. Thigh-high water, sand, mud, silt and s*** everywhere. Although we had lots of warning and were able to move all our precious things and a lot of furniture, the loss adjuster says 6-12 months of alternative accommodation while they do a complete restoration. We are Grade II Listed to add oil onto the water (sorry, black humour is all I have) but thanks to my platinum-plated expensive insurance we are completely covered. :j

All the renovation work we wanted to do downstairs will be done for us, under guidance of our agent and surveyor who will be appointed for us and whatever upgrades we had planned will be incorporated. Power is still off in the house but DH has rerouted a cable from the garage so we have one "socket" and has got the internet working but that's it. Bathing and washing clothes at DH's cousin's house. Small thinks it's a mighty fine adventure, but Tiny is all out of sorts. Dogs are wild and free-ranging and as a result I have a hen wrapped in a towel on a dog bag in my upstairs bathroom. I hope she's OK, poor thing.

We are cold, wet and miserable, but alive and kicking!

I tried to read through the thread to date, but fell asleep (not 'coz you're all boring) as I am exhausted. Going to have another snooze now - under the duvet is the warmest place.
