Thanks for your support. I've decided rather than do an ultimatum letter going to sit down and really talk things through - I am lucky in that I can do this mostly without him kicking off and getting all arsey. I know I'm hard work due to MH issues but it does seem I'm worse when he's around which is rather unfortunate. However if he lets go of his 'control issue' a bit and lets me actually do things then I hope we can find our feet again. Want to try all we can before I admit defeat.
Bossy the bedroom is a good idea but up to you!Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
I shall be following your elf antics as always, Bossy...
Quiet day here, but I have done some washing and run the dishwasher through. I have also hoovered the living room and hall.
We are currently fairly chaotic. OH made a template for the lino which will go down in the kitchen last weekend, but didn't have time to unroll the lino outside before the rain set in. Fingers crossed for next weekend.... the roll of lino is currently in DS's bedroom.
We have completed our wills, which are signed and paid for. Much relief all round...
DD2 is stressing about the house. Her OH's step dad has been here all week decorating. I think she just wants less 'help' sorting it out... She is going to.have to develop some coping strategies..:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Mumof2... Only you can make this decision.. focus on what you need to do to save yourself (((hugs)))
I've been asleep most of the day.. I have managed to get a clean bunch of clothes on the airer, feed the DW and 2 loads in the WM ... so on up on yesterday..
I'm cracking on with my mothers scarf too and have done 4 rows and don't need to shoot myself yet!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Mumof2- hugs. I have been in a similar position with hubby. We sat down and had a massive talk and a cry! Sometimes men don't realise what is staring them in the face! It was certainly a wake up call for my OH. Don't get me wrong we still have the odd cross word but he makes much more of an effort now.
Bossy- I love the scouting elves. Thinking how I could adapt that to 'camping elves'! I already have marshmallows in as I knew they would get used for something! Lol
Tonight our elves have been a bit naughty with a can of shaving gel- writing messages on the bathroom mirror!
I am struggling at the moment with wanting to crack in and not physically being able to. Hubby keeps telling me to rest but I have so much I want to do. I love December!
Got most of my errands done today but not a lot else!
Here is my list for tomorrow ...

Hello everyone,
I have finished Tuesdays list! Yes I know it's Wednesday today but this is good for me, I'm on it!
Have also dog walked, Internet shopped, and taken girls to their swimming lessons (dd1 moved up to level 5, very proud).
Bossy and frizzle , very jealous of elf thing, I sometimes think my imagination left home when I finished uni and had to get a job!
mumof2, hugs, and sending strength to get through this. Relationships are hard work, but worth it. Both people have to make the effort though. I hope you get it sorted x0 -
Evening all.
Sorry I've not caught up with the thread, so hugs, spoons, sticks, vibes and wishes to all.
Well I've not done anything off my lists today except slice & freeze some more of the black pudding but there's still more to go! DD is half packed. Ex text me today to ask how early he can pick her up, so he'll be here for 4.15pm on Friday  IF she's lucky with the buses DD will be in just before 4pm so I guess I'll be finishing her packing off then as she'll only have time to get changed!
I've been busy doing stuff for the window. All new images are being used this year so its taken a while to print them out poster sized, stick them together correctly then cut them out. I've decided I need to get a new cutting board & scalpel blades before next time. Using the back of a cork placemat and a dull blade (it is about 6 years old) took a long time! They're now all ready to go this weekend when I have some time during the day.
This evening while DD was doing yet more homework, I had a flinging session in my room. I now have a pile of stuff to go to my sister/parents, a pile for the charity shop again (stuff that didn't make it last time) and a Christmas gifts pileI've chucked a bag full of rubbish and swapped out 5 large boxes with no lids for 5 large boxes with lids. I then gave the empty boxes to the dog and he's had great fun ripping them to pieces, but my livingroom is now covered in bits of slobbery cardboard :rotfl:
Plan for the rest of the night while my phone charges again (my own fault for watching the snooker on it) is to clear up the boxes, write my shopping lists for tomorrow as they're still not done and reserve DD's main Christmas gift at that catalogue shop ready to collect tomorrowThat should keep me more than busy until bedtime.
This week:
- Slice black pudding and freeze three-quarters done!
- Sort Christmas to buy lists properly
- Read instructions for new boiler
- Read instructions for CM alarm and put it up in right place
- Buy curtain pole for kitchen & put up
[STRIKE] - Get DD packed Wednesday night, with list of what to pack Friday (she'll be too tired Thursday) [/STRIKE] As done as she can be for now
- Collect DD Thursday evening
- Get DD packed and ready to leave by [STRIKE]4.30pm on Friday (even if Ex isn't coming until 5pm, we'll no doubt need the buffer!) Ex is leaving work just before 4pm, that means in theory he'll be here by 4.30! [/STRIKE] Now she needs to be ready for 4.15 :eek::eek:
- Print bin collection dates & put on calender in diary
- Errands Thursday (town, wilko, bm, hb, pah? bq)
- Paint window (only during daylight hours so plenty of time to fly while its dark) Pictures printed and cut ready to go.
- Keep on top of fly lists, minus extras unless required.
- Laundry (sofa cover spot clean, dark, lights, towels)
- Deo the sofas
- Vacuum downstairs

I've had a right job getting on t'internet tonight
and look for the code
all my upstairs windows are now see through! I am so pleased - I will be able to open the bathroom window 'a bit' as opposed to having the whole window flap in.

Mumof2 I'll add my hugs to the mix, hope everything goes well for you and OH.
lynnjk lucky DS, I love South Africa and the exchange rate is brilliant at the moment.
I had a major panic this morning (relatively) as I couldn't find a "vital" piece of paper to copy and take to uni. Eventually found it on the glass plate of the OLD printer, lol.
Quite a long assessment, but lovely lad though quite a few problems poor thing; it is so sad how many young people start uni with MH issues.
Got stuck for an hour on the A1M on the way back, lots of blue flashing lights so some poor person was worse off than me.
Got home eventually and Mr N helped me make the Xmas puds, last thing I felt like really but having promised one to mum and we're off down there for our w/e on the IOW tomorrow there wasn't any other way. So now I have to sit here till at least 12 while the blighters cook.
Still, I'm packed - just how much stuff do I need between now and Monday? ridiculous but I can't do decisions, especially when tired. New hairpiece/pony tail has gone in but had no time to work out how I'm going to use it!! Mad.
I think I've listed everything that needs doing before I leave (at 9am tomorrow!). So that just leaves tomorrow's assessment paperwork to put together and have a final think as to what I have forgotten. I desperately want to enjoy this weekend away, and I know I will, but I hate leaving so much paperwork that needs to be done. However, nobody at uni seems concerned that it's late apart from me. Oh what I'd give for tomorrow's assessee to phone in sick - not that I wish her ill you understand.
Enough rabbiting; the house is ok give or take the odd cobweb or two.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
