Morning all, been up since 7 but just pottering really. Just done my Mr M online order which will come tomorrow and about to go for a shower. I want to tidy the area under the stairs; it's a bit of a bombsite and as that's where the recycling is kept I want to make it easy to get to for the clearing out we'll hopefully be doing. S is seeing Santa this afternoon but apart from that not really sure what we'll be doing. J is keen for us to go out somewhere, not sure where.
Have a good day all xFlymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
We must have all been shattered - even the howling wind didn't wake us until gone 7.30!
I've started my morning of "picking up" starting with dance costumes and hair stuff and make up. And I've relocated the popcorn. On closer inspection, most of it is multi-packs so that's pretty cool - we'll probably eat it all eventually. Just as well we all like it
We are going to DD class this morning but other than that a weekend of hibernating. Kiddies are going to make baubles for their teachers and crackers for our festive table. I'm going to give their rooms a bottoming - will haul the vac upstairs. Also need to find a shallow box to stand the tree on. I'm going for the opposite corner of the room this year - it annoys me where it usually is, lol.
Also need to give all sinks and loos an S&S.
Oh, this week I treated my kitchen sink to some Bicarb and White vinegar- it's draining so much quicker now!Bossymoo

Morning all.
I didn't do the ironing as the washing wash taking so long to dry, and then I didn't have a bath either, instead I took myself to bed with a book & read for a change.
This morning I'm going to go for the weekly shop as we're out of milk. I don't need to buy much and will pick an ready/easy meal up (probably yellow stickered) for me for tea. Then its home to laundry and hopefully doing the christmas window if it brightens up a bit as I think it's too dark for the 1st stage due to the weather
I best get moving. I want to get done and home as soon as possible. Catch you later :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Morning all,
Plan for this weekend is to write all cards, wrap all presents I have, and order the rest. Also put up the outside Christmas lights. I won't trim up inside until next weekend. I need to get Christmas prep all done, as I have booked a few days of work in the run up to Christmas in order to decorate some of the new rooms downstairs. if I don't get all presents card etc done beforehand, I won't get the decorating done. Also need to take the dog for a very wet and windy walk. The garden is starting to turn into a pond again.
Hope it isn't still raining where Dizzy is x0 -
Morning ladies
Mucked out the laundry room as best I could yesterday but had to stand on a bath mat to do some ironing as the quarry tiles won't dry - the water level must still be high. Nursing a poorly chicken by my bedside all night who got mauled again yesterday by one of the dogs. I think she will be OK, but she's had a lot of feathers plucked. Needless to say, both young dogs are now wearing muzzles.
Today, we are securing fences, mending gates and seeing if the shower room can be restored to a useable condition. Doubtful, as the shower tray was a foot under water and I suspect all the pipes are filled with silt and sand. Gotta try though.
On the plus side - it's not raining at the moment :rotfl:0 -

Kiddies are just having an indoor picnic, and I've been out and secured as much as I can in the garden. Neighbours were doing the same! It's wild here! The fences are built for wind but I'm not sure they'll withstand this!
