850 for october. almost there....Earn, Save and Achieve0

hi there no. 11 reporting for October and I'm afraid it's been a negative amount of -£858.06  which is a bit dismaying in some ways but was always on the cards since I was on holiday (the only one for the year) and the car needed its MOT, plus other one-off expenses, so there it is. The thing is I'm still past my target and the run home through November and December should be fairly pain-free, fingers crossed, so I'm not too bothered, well only a wee bit!!!

Hi Slowly Fading
I've decided to bow out for next year and join another challenge, but will still be saving albeit smaller monthly amounts. Thanks for running this great challenge and motivating me to save over £2500 over 2 years. The most I've saved for a long time.
I'll will declare my total for the year now - #34 £1535. So won't complete the form for Nov And Dec.

Sorry for the late update. New total £7,560, #176 - I believe that is £860 for the month - very pleased with that, as the past few months have been a minus. I'm definately not going to make £12,000, but I will be very happy with whatever I make from hereon.0

It has been absolutely months since I have posted on here, and my savings were never going to reach £12,000 but this thread has motivated me to start actively saving more money.
I am in the Sealed Pot challenge, and when this was opened last week, there was £843,which I was thrilled with.So today that was transferred to my savings fund, along with another £230 I had saved. So my savings are now at £2313 (though only £2213 is from this challenge, the other £100 I opened the account with llast year.
I think I will set something up to automatically transfer ,say,£100-200 a month into my savings account. At least then I am not just waiting for pot-opening day to save some moneySPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76

Might be worth open a regular saver of your choice for your £100/£200 may as well get 3 - 5% interest on it, and if you have more to pay in some months you can increase your standing order,
Just a thought

Something I have been working on for a while is being revealed on my blog tomorrow at 6am. I would love it if some of you would head over there and have a read, plus offer some supportive comments about it if you have any!
